Big Uprooting Fir Removal with Randy!
Ойын-сауық
Join me and my good friend Randy as we tackle a tricky and dangerous job in the Pacific Northwest. We were tasked with removing a large Douglas Fir tree that's started to uproot and is in danger of falling over. But with the help of some creative rigging and our trusty chainsaws, we're able to take down the tree safely and efficiently. Along the way, I share some tips and tricks for dealing with challenging tree removal situations. And as always, Randy and I have a lot of fun and share plenty of laughs. Don't miss out on the action!

It seems like the contract type work you’ve been doing is working out well for you. And the opportunities to travel and meet new people is great! Just some general thoughts in regards to owning a tree service, you can run a smaller operation with less overhead, less stress, etc. and still do very well. Not every tree service has to be a “do everything” type operation with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Unless that was the goal of course. Bid on the jobs you want, and don’t hesitate to turn down jobs that might be better suited to a larger outfit. Find your niche. 🌳

That is where i'm at. Just setting up as a 2/3 man band. Minimum machinery = minimum hassle and minimum overheads. Great video and love the 'mandles' with double socks :) Can I come and work with you two?!?
Randy is a great co-host, his sponsor reads are so natural 😊
this is the best partnership since tango and cash
Nice truck Jake! Keep Randy in all of your videos. You two work together so well and it makes the show fun to watch. You take care of each other which is great.
Is Randy wearing socks and sandals? If yes, I love that guy even more.

So THAT'S where Sandlewood comes from. 😄
You and Mandal Randall are an absolute hoot together! I love the videos with y’all together. Great job, Jake! It was a little nail biter there for a few but you’re careful and being a bit scared keeps one aware.
9:44 now you own everything 😂😂😂😂
You two are comedic gold; just funny as hell. What I appreciate even more is that neither of you lose focus on the job and it's inherent risks.
Hey Jake hire Randy always he's a good guy and so funny you're videos are fun with him 😂 I love your work man keep going.
I wouldn’t give that saw away lol 😂 it’s wayyyy too nice 👌
Glad to hear you go to church . God is good.
Randy is a blast
The carabiner getting stuck on the nub and you guy’s comments on it, then flipping over another nub was the cherry on top, i felt that🤣
That was a real pretty stump and that saw is nice. You should definitely consider keeping that old beauty
I love listening to the chatter between you two, it could be a KZread channel on its own. 😅
Love the way you just laid that last one down. Sweet.
Love the duo, it really makes your already good videos just that much better.
Yesss new guilty of treeson video
I saw those girls that do the axe competitions wear steel mesh socks in case they miss the log and hit their feet...socks of mail, now I believe Randall could rock those!!
Nice work truck!
That Husqvarna’s pissed in all the good ways 😤
Congratulations on the new truck! Make good use of it!
All of the editing in the world couldn't hide how cool randy is and how funny it is that his superiority tries to cloak itself.
You guys have such great chemistry. And that is worth everything. Being able to have fun at work means everything and it gives so much for us watching. Thanks!
Keep the cutting with Randy videos coming.
interesting, tricky job. as always you put safety first. great outcome
You guys are having way too much fun! Keep it up!
Great looking truck man!!
All bee keepers are very centered folks. The good Lord put the bees on this earth for a special reason and the bees do a tremendous job and we get to enjoy the honey ( fruits)of their labor.
Hey buddy how are you could not wait for another video I hope all is well God bless Jake stay safe

Hey Jake is this true buddy that I won something or is it a scam from somebody else thank you Jake so much
I love the videos keep making them.
I lived in Enumclaw for 15 years logging and doing tree removals. Those firs have a fungus root rot. They are all or almost all infected. 2nd growth is esp susceptible.
J & R Tree Service... Jake & Randy make such a great team! But if you both have bucket trucks... You could be Twin Scoops Tree Service. 🤣
Congrats on the new truck!
In the saw shop the other day for some gear when the new 88 sucked me up like a magnet. Not your everyday tool grab but having the right tool for the job is priceless.
What a way to start my day. Love the truck & the new saw. Awesome job. Stay safe
You guys are funny. 😂 Love the saw work too. 👍
Jake, I love hearing you laugh so much at work. Stay happy brother.
Nice job guys! That was really interesting.
40:45 You don't "really" need it... except for when you open Jake's-Not-A-Tree-Service Tree Service you may be glad you have it. Your banter is hilarious! Not a tree guy, not even in the same industry whatsoever, but your channel is great! Been a fan since early in the Eastside days!
Its super cool to see you guys laughing and enjoying the whole time working. Most people don't get this doing desk-job
Keep the 88 I think it would be fun to use it once in a while for really large trees. Weird also that my like on the video was the 88th like.
Way to go with the new truck!
Well dressed Randy, impressive, great job, glad you are making some lumber out of tree and firewood...Thanks for another fun video...😏
I'll take a size 12 pair of "Mandals " with steel toes with all season tread and of course personally autographed by 8 pack and double stack! You guys kill me with your banter ,it makes for a good show! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Jake, that climb was legit. Nice job. Thanks for sharing man!
Jacob, well done with the toolbox on wheels. A climber of your caliber really don't need a bucket truck. Just another tool to maintain and if your not an expert truck mechanic, than it could cost more than what you would likely want to spend. I need a truck like that😁
Congrats on 600k 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Mandles! Priceless
That 88 smokes..wow. Great video.
Omg I've only watched the first 5ish minutes and I'm already laughing my head off 😂😂
Randalls Sandals and Double Stacker in action again!
Awesome job Jake!
keep keep the 880 it looks to good one you
good laugh, thank you
Absolutely loved the video, the shenanigans that the both of you get into is something else. Laughing so much the jokes that you tell oh mercy!
Nice truck keep up the good work.
Nice truck there Jake!
You two are great
Randy is on another level of sarcasm. And you should keep the saw 👍
Sick New truck!!!!!!!
Awesome job brother
I have no idea how those ropes can support your balls of steel!! Holy crap you’ve gotta have some Yaegees to do that job!! That was a fun watch!!!
Hey:) Really nice video! I did a pretty big fir tree a few weeks ago. About 120 feet. The tips and tricks from your videos helped me a lot!
My husband and me, (This is Darinda, Garland’s Wife 😊 ) Both of us are so very very proud of you for buying yourself ❤ a genuine work truck!! You have needed a work truck ever since you started climbing trees! You may not be 100% sold on it right now, and that’s OK. But here, very soon you will be sold on it. You didn’t say if it’s four-wheel-drive or not. We don’t buy any any work truck for our logging operations, unless it is four-wheel-drive. And not only 4 Wheel Dr., but also we have installed lockers, front and rear all the way around. All the way up to our, Ford F-750…………
randy deserves a big pay raise.
Good ol J&R Tree Chuckers
great job ! just great how safe you work! anything at height you have to be so safe to prevent any type of injury! especially leaners! nice take down! keep up the great jobs!
You two genuinely need to start a company together. For real.
Scary but nice job!!
Randy with the corked sandals 😅
Love all your content, energy, and knowledge about trees man, however can you please consider putting your shorts on a separate Playlist, makes watching and finding your long real videos a pain.
another Randy the Groundy video. Love it.
Hello from Alaska ! Y’all crack me up
Love your videos! That 880 is a sic saw! With the big trees in your area you might wanna keep it. Thank you for the great entertainment!
I LOVE how Randy legit shows up to the job site in freaking birkenstocks!!! What an absolute boss!!!!
I love to watch you and Randy work together 😂😂😂ps I like a pair of them mandalls please "
Jake and Randy's inevitable tree service
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Welcome back to the Northwest. Glad you didn't get eaten by the critters down south.
Great work...keep the saw it's too awesome to get rid of😊!
Sweet truck Jacob! I have an older version of it.... your right it is very convenient. You may not remember the comments however I started climbing about 1 year ago. I came across your channel and now I wait for your videos like a tv show! I went to arborist/climbing school partly from watching it climb. I have a short edit on my channel if your curious. ANYWAYS keep up the great videos!
Oh how well did this video age😂now owning a bucket truck a dump trailer, chipper and avant🤔randy was right all along
I can't wait for the raffle on the 88 Jake oh my goodness that thing is beautiful I wanted one for so long I just can't afford her
Awesome video man! And so hilarious watching how you and Randy work together 💯 Let me know if you want to come join us on some work here in northern Norway sometime
You guys are hilarious
Randell Mandell and Jakey Snakey. Laurel and Hardy eat your hearts out !
Didn't seem like work way too much fun ,great video keep us interested stay safe brothers
Mandal Randal Sandals-Now OSHA approved!
I don't know I saw a stump grinder attachment, that was on a mini track. it looked kinda fun, and darn effective.
jake you and randy are so funny!!!!!!!
Great vid I think Randy’s socks were still clean at the end of the day 🤣👊 love to have that 880 got a couple of 660s but think it be cool to have the grandad don’t need it either but why not
I use a small loop of throw line to make a break away for my lanyard when in situations like this one.

@@robsimons1163 throw line average strength is around 500lbs,enough strength to be able to use my lanyard for good work position for comfort with confidence. Still very much the weakest part of my system but I can trust it to hold my body weight (NOT as priority). Also always have throw line on site.
I was cutting a dead tree the other day when i realized that i was wearing slides. I went and put on my boots pretty quick. I was also wearing shorts. Probably not smart. I am not an expert by any means, but stuff happens to everyone. I knew a guy that had been using saws since he was a kid, and he cut into his leg, at the knee just bucking firewood. Love the content. Im not a tree guy, i just find your channel therapeutic. Stay safe guys!
Randall's logging sandals
There's a shoe repair channel called Trenton & Heath and they actually made some steel-toe sandals for a customer.
“I think so far ahead its stump ground” 😂😂
Our dream team!!! You and Randy..... We're ready for some Randy isms and more laughs. Love you guys cause this never looks like work! Even though it is😊
Thanks!
