Yamamoto grew up a Dodger fan and with Shohei on the team, what's not to like for him?

As a Red Sox fan I really like your optimism. Unfortunately we life long fans aren't as optimistic. They have done nothing yet hopefully they will actually make a splash one of these days!

That 78 and 84 will look good in 2024. Expect 70 to 75 wins in 2024. 2025 is when they will be back with Teel,Anthony and Mayer make the team.

Agreed! I would be surprised is the Sox land any of the top 3 remaining free agent starting pitchers. The trade market will have to be the way to go.

Excellent commentary and positive outlook regarding the Red Sox ... I don't think Boston will sign Yamamoto, but the one thing they have already done to their future benefit is hire Craig Breslow, Andrew Bailey and Justin Willard to overhaul and improve the pitching staffs at all levels of the organization ... The Sox under Chaim Bloom's reign did a great job of restocking the farm system with a number of up and coming promising every day position players ... Now the focus definitely needs to be pitching especially when it comes to their starting rotation ... Don't expect the Red Sox to be a true contender in 2024, but watch out for them to get back to the top of the AL East and make a legitimate championship run on the back half of this decade ...

I 100% Agree and John Henry is a Numbers guy-they have to and they will Sign Yamamoto to a 12-$350 mill or 14 yrs - $400 mill plus posting fees. Henry knows that if he fails to sign Yamamoto the fans will abandoned Fenway and The Sox brass care to Much about Nesn numbers and they do not want to see NESN numbers to go to the toilet-I believe by Sunday Yamamoto will be a Red Sox!

As a Boston faithful who follow the Red Sox for decades the only three pitchers they developed that turned out to be a solid rotation player was John Lester, Clay Buckholtz, and Jonathan Paplabon. Every other Red Sox player they got was either via trade or free agency, unfortunately they aren't known for developing pitchers, and I can't imagine them passing up Yamamoto only time will tell but I think this ownership group is serious about winning like the Celtics Owner who gave Brad Stevens the green light to better improve their team wish i could say the same about the Red Sox

This guy is very optimistic about the Red Sox for a Toronto fan.

Red Sox need 2 aces and a 3 to be competitive no less will get them out the cellar time will tell and you can't hide the truth

There is no motivation to win here in Boston like there use to be when FSG first bought the team. He has Liverpool and the Penguins. YY isn't signing here and we really don't know what plan B is. We don't have the pitching prospect capital to really trade for anyone. I already went through the stages of grief.

A Dodger Fan walked into Dodger Stadium and proceeded to his seat. After he sat down he noticed that he felt considerably lighter. Upon further investigation he discovered he was missing his right arm and leg, the price of his admission to the game. His ass was also a bit wobbly when shifting to and fro leaving him knowing he just barely missed losing that also. You better have a lot of money to watch the Dodgers.

Sox are tooooo cheap. I will be shocked if they sign Yamamoto. Team is shaping up to be junk(again).

Unfortunately you’re post is 100% facts I left the Red Sox as a fan last year because the ownership quit caring. They will have 100 excuses come spring why they didn’t sign anyone significant. I was a fan since 1984
