You can thank Andrew Bailey for the Red Sox Pitching being this good

Exactly. Obviously it's the pitchers putting in the work, but it's also the philosophy/pitching game plan, has to do a lot with the pitching coach

We are not really “on a tear.” We don’t score enough runs and are only 2 games above .500. We’re pretty damn average

If the sox ever get timely hitting, who knows, too many strikeouts and no situational offense

You failed to mention the injuries to shortstop Trevor Story and hot hitting first baseman Tristan Casas who was in his way to 40 home runs

I’m a Red Sox fan, and I want to agree with this, but no. We have so much work to do on the offensive side of the plate.

Missed so much: Pivetta, Whitlock, and Bello (Bay-Yo) have been injured. Cooper Criswell who is a soft tossing Rays reject filled in with a 1.74 ERA in 20.2 innings. Andrew Bailey is the pitching coach and both him and GM Craig Breslow were both pitcher for the Red Sox in 2013. The Red Sox throw the 4Seam fastball 12.7% of the time. League average is 30.3%. Arsenals on the Red Sox are more Cutter, Slider with offspeed and breaking balls. Injuries have happened offensively. Story is out for the year. TON and Devers both missed time. Casas might be July or later. Yoshida just went down for an unknown amount of time. Grissom joined the team last week. The offense has been Jarren Duran with Wilyer Abreu, Rob Refsnyder, Connor Wong, and who ever. It's a feast or famine with runs which explains the pyth W-L. We are better than expected but have to keep guys out of the infirmary and pitching has to make it all the way. The Red Sox have been good summer teams but have faded come August and September.

They need a power hitter. Pitching is good but their offense is mediocre.

Just for reference, on the Red Sox MLB website home page, on the menu on the left, under the roster tab, there's a pronunciation guide, with the names spelled out and audio of players saying their own names. Not every team has it but it's super helpful for names like Bello, which NGL you butchered a lil bit.

Our pitching is out of this world, and we have a few farm arms that are possibly Major League ready...which can mean trades at deadline to get us over the top

Houck, Whitlock, and Crawford will come back down to earth. Tyler O’Neil will get hurt. They’ll need Casas to come back and have a strong 2nd half. I like the team but to think this trend will continue throughout the season is foolish.

This guy must be a Red Sox fan with the way he says "SAWX" and hypes up a .500 team,, but he also has the Canadian "owt" like he's a Jays fan. Anyway the AL East is a powerhouse but I can't take the Red Sox over any team in the east except maybe the Rays. The Jays are also underperforming. The O's and Yankees are clearly the contenders.
