Big Ten-SEC Alliance? Is the End of the NCAA Near? | College Football News

Спорт

The two biggest conferences in college football--Big Ten and SEC--have announced a joint advisory board to take a look at the issues facing the college football world, including the transfer portal, revenue-sharing, NIL and payments to student-athletes, and the 12-team College Football Playoff. I go over that and more in this video. Let me know your thoughts on all this down below in the comment section!

Crazy how the 32 teams shared by the Big 10 and SEC are overall bigger than the top-32 teams not associated with this aliance

I feel like either there’s gonna be a culling of the lesser schools in the B1G and SEC when they split which in turn will lead to a lot of teams being misplaced in favor of boring football that is a carbon copy every year. I’m just glad my school is in the MAC, we just vibing man

I don't necessarily agree with your take that there shouldn't be CFP autobids. In the NFL, there are only 31 other teams. You know by the end of the season who's good, and who isn't. On the contrary, in CFB, most teams don't even share an opponent. If Utah goes 10-3 and wins the Big 12, they'd probably be left out without the autobid. However, for all we know, the Big 12 is the best conference next year, and if given the chance, Utah would win the whole thing. In a landscape with such diverse schedules, you have to let all P4 champions and one G5 champion get in to ensure a proper champion. And if that bothers you, just think of it as an 8 team playoff instead with some filler teams. Many have been saying 12 is too many anyway, and if you're right, the results will show it. Sorry if that came off harsh. I love the content, but I do disagree on this one, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

@@jirimatejka7394 No you're right. I put 31 though because you can't play yourself, so there are only 31 schedulable teams. Now that I think about it, 32 might have been better in context. Doesn't change it that much either way imo.

Honeslty, idrc anymore, let the SEC and B1G go do there own thing. once they split the rest can actually get a playoff that allows the whole division of FBS to objectively qualify. And once my rooting interests aren't involved in the SEC/B1G i won't really care to watch their games anymore

If you didn't WIN your division you weren't the best team anyway. Gtfoh.
