Nice video mate, I look forward to each upload. Not many swan river KZreadrs so it’s always good when one pops up.

ah that's a shame! definitely never a certainty you'll find fish in winter. Thanks for watching
Can I catch bream with a basic hook and sinker? I’m very very new, also where do you reckons best in Perth for fishing?

yes absolutely, they'll take baits pretty readily. River prawns or squid are good. I even used to use cooked old chicken when I started out to save money. If you're bait fishing for bream, it's hard to go past Maylands or Guildford. More blowfish downstream.
Nice video here, just curious to see u using white pe but wouldn’t it start to stain bc of the murky water in the swan? Been wanting to use my saltwater finesse line in the swan as it’s super light and thin but it’s clear white and a bit scared to stain it since it’s top quality. Cheers

Good question, my braid didn't stain for a while but when filming this video I noticed it start to stain, probably because of the tannins in the water as it was further up river than I usually fish. So if you're worried about staining, I wouldn't fish further up river. I got the braid because of its quality and the fact it was on a big sale and the colour was just incidental. Maybe in summer you'd have to go further up the river for it to stain. But if youre worried, stick to the lower reaches and ocean with white braid ( or at least from what i've learned from having this Tasline, not all braids would be the same)
Great Vid, been looking for some weedless hooks but can't find any what are these ones called and where did you get them from? , Cheers!

hey mate, from memory these are vanfook size 1 worm hooks that i got online but after running out of them i've bought gamakatsu size 1 worm hooks and they do the trick
hey man what do you think would be the ideal lure for flat head in the swan, thanks mate!

hey mate, thanks for watching. Thankfully, flathead are a bit less picky so most lures that you can work on the bottom are likely to catch fish. That being said, hardbody lures 60-80mm are probably the most suitable for most people. A great, popular lure is the 75mm daiwa double clutch if you're fishing the flats. Strictly speaking I think the best flathead is probably (if I have to name one) a z man slim swimz 3 inch in bloodworm on a 1/0 or 2/0, 1/12th jighead, as it will catch fish in all situations (because you can work it at all depths) but if there's a lot of blowfish around they'll chew it up. In Summer i'll probably throw a 60mm double clutch for flathead because it appeals to more fish like bream, but you'll arguably risk losing a very bug flathead if it engulfs the lure. Jeez, long answer haha hope it helped.
