This actually portrays the absolute monster that is big mom really well. It feels like a boss fight for Kid & Law. How she just goes through multiple stages throughout the fight, and Kid&Laws teamwork keeps her on the edge the whole time so neither side let's up as BM gets stronger and stronger until she falls into the magma to cap off this masterfully orchestrated fight.

@@nineten9011 I would say dragon ball z is a lot better than both One piece and Naruto in terms of fight panels. So that would be a better comparison, but I am sure you noticed that in the second half of the Kaido fight with Luffy, the panelling and artwork was much better.

I finally understand why big Mom never used advanced conqueror haki. Because advanced conqueror haki probably drains stamina and only serves to increase damage (attack potency) against highly durable targets like Kaido, Page one and herself. Kid and law are too small and fast for her to land a proper blow. And their teamwork is magnificent since one distracts and another attacks. Big mom relies on her devil fruit in this case, so that she can be as versatile as them. As long as hera or napoleon lands a good attack on kid or law, she can take them out for good without advanced conqueror. Once kid and law use devil fruit awakening to bypass her durability easily, she easily lost her main advantage and started taking damage as kid and law take turns to inflict damage. Think of big mom as a hippo while kid and law are lions.

This makes sense, however I don't really see how Kidd's awakening bypasses her armament haki/durability. It was really emphasised how she's basically impenetrable during WCI, so I don't see how throwing more scrap metal at her would do more damage. I think Law was the one that actually made the most damage from the inside. But correct me if I'm wrong though.

If you have played with very strong magnets when young, you know how sharp and abrupt the magnetic pull is when acting upon other magnet or a magnetic object. This is in contrast to gravitational pull which is more subtle and consistent. There is a reason why electromagnetism is used in crane - to lift between 10 and 60 tonnes of object. Awakened kid assigned magnetism to Big mom and pinned down a freaking Yonko.

"We know you've got tough skin but can it save you from being crushed to death!" Kidd's attacks negates durability.

This really shows how strong Big Mom was. It took Kidd and Law going full force to beat Big Mom and she still almost survived their final attack. However I don't think it really showed Big Mom's actual attacks very well, it gave a lot more attention to Law and Kidd's. Still super cool though!
