A great UP mixed freight with 147 +/- cars. The green covered hopper was a pleasant distraction from the usual, as were the new John Deere tractors! I envy the long trains you get. In my home town trains longer than 100 cars are rarer than hen's teeth! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

Hi Red, fantastic shots of the UP freight trains. The first was a mixed freight train, nice and long, the second one in two parts, the first part made up of car transport wagons and the second part made up of intermodal container wagons, that often seems to be the case. But it was very long, I like long trains like that. On the third train, very different railway carriages could be seen. Nice your two dogs who have a good time, I like them. The fourth UP freight train also had an interesting wagon composition. The penultimate UP Intermodal with its five diesel locomotives was also great and then one last intermodal container train. This was the video with the most container trains. Thanks for showing and the fantastic drone shots. I wish you a fantastic week and remain with best regards from Germany. wolfgang

Hey Wolfgang, you're welcome! Lots of variety that day. Had plenty of manifest trains with great variety. The tractors come from the town of Waterloo which is just a few miles away from me👍Trains aren't getting any shorter that's for sure!

Nice one Red! Hope you had no tornados yesterday. I saw the huge wedge that tore up Minden, IA yesterday. Half the town gone, but those people will rally and help each other out & rebuild. I saw a parked BNSF near the path. I wonder what train crews are taught to do, probably hunker down near the rear of the engines until dispatch deems it safe again.🌀🌀🌀

Great catches Red busy as always there. Hey saw something interesting the other day CN train heading west across the CF bridge had either a GP9 or GP10 as the fourth locomotive , looked like a recent paint job always good to see the older ones . Take care and keep the videos coming

Looks like another Waterloo load. A 7R, 2 8R a coupleof 8 or 9 RTs and a big 9RX 4track.

That was a great UP mixed freight with 2 DPUS. Awesome 😎! I liked the plate steel and the machinery item on the drop deck car. It was cool too 😎! Fast and long, 167, just the way I like them, Red. A great catch! I love the shot of the cattle and the trees greening up. Any idea what the abandoned brick building by the track curve was? 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 so the turntable and sub frame are for a 6020B, a 6030, a 6040 and 6060 hydraulic mining shovel. I believe I’ve seen then transported on an either a 85 to 90 ton heavy haul trailer.

You did a very good job of combating the Wind. Unfortunately I could not read the reporting marks or number on theyellow depressed Center flat car but it sure had the look of HCMX 44xx which would make it Komatsu previously Joy Global and originally Harnischfeger and that would be the base of a large mining shovel or crane. Unless there's something wrong with it the routing is nowhere near normal as it came out of either West Milwaukee or their new plant on Jones Island. This may sound embarrassing but I wonder if it's too heavy for Some bridge on the way to Chicago from.the north. There was a brown CNW coil car sans UP herald mixed in there and the plate steel was on Colorado & Wyoming flats and a SSW bulkhead The WB Intermodal was underpowered it was really losing speed the entire climb. Surprising to see all that coiled wire that was in those large gons we've seen going empty. Just before the wire check out the Golden West service SP bulkhead flat which had been used for MOW service carrying rail just look how that deck was destroyed. I'm wondering was that small group of tractors build elsewhere and are going west because most John Deere shipments go east or could these be coming back from Baltimore because they can't get out to sea?? As for the coal cars they could be stragglers from the barge dumpers in Chicago or do they have a rotary dumper at ADM Clinton as they are still getting unit trains but the empties come back piecemeal. That priority Intermodal made me wonder if the last two trailers just barely made the ramp cutoff time. It was so windy I think I only heard the dog's twice extremely faintly. Yes indeed good to see the area Greening up hang on to your hat!

Thanks Paul! That drone amazes me in the wind. I'll bet those tractors came from Waterloo via the Iowa Northern. I don't remember seeing a rotary dump anywhere in Clinton. It would be interesting to see them fill that gold dome with coal. Maybe that base was to a Komatsu of some sort. Had tornadoes here in Iowa yesterday. Lucked out in my neck of the woods. I'm sure you'll get to hear some barking soon enough👍

I trust the tornadoes missed your part of beautiful Iowa.

Yep, all the twisters were Southwest of me. Looked like a tornado derailed a train near Lincoln Nebraska.

i enjoyed watching this video, Red! The drone footage was wonderful as usual. These trains had a nice variety of freight cars on them except for the double stack trains. That "mystery" load on that 88-axle depressed center flat car was certainly a mystery. I have never seen a load like that before. I had to laugh when I read @charlieowen9378's comment.
