It does have that "Tracks Ahead" type vibe to it. For anybody unfamiliar with the series Tracks Ahead, it was a show that used to air on PBS on Sundays at around 10:00am and was around for quite a while. It's unfortunate that it was taken off the air about 5 years ago, at least at the time I'm typing this comment.

Absolutely it’s a dated style of video production. Has a real 1980s and 1990s feel. Even the added in music. This could have been a Challenger video from Pentrex or Video Rails. It was a time of very inappropriate music added to train videos too. Music should really be steam appropriate which gives you two genres to choose from Big band from the decade to loco is from or old country like from Sun Records 1950s tunes

Brings back memories growing up next to tracks during 60's-70's in Sumner Washington seeing these occasionally and the older diesel-electrics (I called them the old cyclopes style engines) which next to steam were my favorite. Quick story, my grandmother would go out and feed the engineers when they would be stopped along our property. We lived approximately 50-75ft from the track. Loved watching this video, thanks for bringing back some fond memories from my childhood!!!

Wonderful video! Thank you. Imagine if our tracks were 6-foot gauge! My great uncle said his 4-8-4 freight locomotive was frustratingly limited by the 4' 8-1/2" gauge.
