ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZread and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

Lambing Squad. I hate censoring the videos to appease KZread. From tomorrow we’ll be back to uncensored and we’ll just take the hit. Anyone who signed up as a member will get a longer version of the video each day with no ads. Sorry about all this. It’s a big hit to us but i’ll keep pushing the merch store during lambing and that will hopefully make up the difference that we lose from KZread. Sorry team, Thanks for the support, Cammy

keep blurring them. viewers need time to adjust to the new way of doing things. You need the income, so keep doing whatever protects you guys best. to hell with a few complainers, 99% understand it and can cope.

Came you shouldn’t have to take a hit on this. People are just unrealistic in their idea of what sheep are. This is real sheep people not Disney world little sheep jumping around in a cute fairy world. If you don’t like what you see but you still want learn real sheep farming then shut you eyes for the stuff you find a bit too raw. Really people grow up!

I've been in that depression Cammy, sleepless and got kids and a family relying on my work, pulling 15-18 hour days and needing all the hands I could. Something good about "tomorrow coming" is that it gets you one day closer to being done. The sun rises and the sun sets and the earth keeps spinning, with or without you man. And that's a good thing! You won't be in the doldrums forever. All you have to do is keep your head above water. Breathe through it, eat those cakes and pasties, sing your heart out, and hug your helpers. I'm pulling for you and all the farmers out there right now in the swamps of April.

Hello from Ontario, Canada. When my senior dogs became arthritic, my vet prescribed metacam. It really helped. I squirted the metacam into their mouths (without needle on it, of course). It really helped with the pain and inflammation in their joints. I look forward to your videos every day. Incredible amount of rain you've had. If you get much more you will need an amphibious vehicle. Spot is "spot on" when he's given his instructions. He's an excellent investment. You're all doing a wonderful job. Best wishes.

Daughter of a Borders out-by shepherd here. Back in 50’s and early 60’s we had neither electricity in the houses, nor off road transport. Most sheep had single lambs, and Dad taught me to bring twins in for him, off the hill face to the twin field. I got to take his old dog with me for that slow job. Times have changed, but the hard work and stresses haven’t. Thanks for sharing things as they really are, I do appreciate seeing the life I grew up with still carries on, and wish yous all the very best.

I’m no farmer but this gives a great insight to what happens. So about how many lambs are lost in a season and how many are skinned on?

Hi Cammy you’re doing so well in the lambing just now. The weather has been horrific for all farmers just lately. Rain again fook sake. Hopefully Lizzie is getting a bit more rest than normal as she has not got long to go. Remember your doing great, think positive, I know it not easy but here’s hoping the morn won’t be bad for you and the rest of the farmers Debbie Aberdeen xxx

Great video Cammy! Love the drone views. What an excellent tool for making your work a little easier. Too bad you can't use it in the rainy windy weather but understandable. At least most of you day looked beautiful with the sun shining. You look exhausted! Enjoy the comfort of your bed for a little while. ❤❤ A Scott 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 living in Ontario Canada.🇨🇦

If you ever start giving tours of the farm catching a sheep should be the #1 activity. 2nd is a ride with you driving out in the fields in the backend not inside. I imagine it would be fun for you too if there weren’t lammies to pull and big ewes to catch. Cammy you are doing a great job. You have an awesome and beautiful wife and spunky boys, one of which loves to help his dad. And the awesome home and herd. Don’t kick yourself so much we’ve all had it happen. ❤️😁💪

You, Lizzy, and the team are doing an amazing job despite the horrible circumstances. I am so impressed every time I watch. I wish you fair weather, easy and healthy labours and eliveries, no foxes, and no dogs. Question: what percentage of lambs are ewes and rams? 50/50? (No worries if you don't have time to answer.) My very best to you all. #jockcamrules

You’re doing such a good job. The weather makes it so hard and you do the best you can to help ewes and lambs make it. And what a great job fostering lambs with ewes who have had losses. I sure do wish there weren’t so many restrictions with content as it’s such an important teaching how to lamb. I just love how you are including Jock in the work. Your team work with Spot is improving with every day of lambing. Grspeat job Spot. Meg sure is happy to be still working part . 💙💜
