ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZread and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

I think what you tube are doing is effing ridiculous, I enjoy every video especially with Jock Cam & “Hi mum” so proud carrying his lambie , he’s going to make a fabulous farmer. Marissa is worth her weight in gold and more. What a girl she is and you have been a huge part of her education and you are a fabulous teacher Cammy. Much love to Lizzie, The boys , Marissa , the dogs and you from Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To all sheep farmers it is a sad time this year for you all with the amount of loss that is happening. But stay as positive as you can through this. Cammy and family I have loved watching the videos they show you that everything is not a bed of roses for farmers they work hard and struggle with the losses that they face. So KZread please stop giving them a hard time they are letting you see the good and the bad. Cammy keep up the good work and keep smiling.

the collar and chain is a very Kiwi thing to have - our dogs have to be tied to the back of the Ute if they are on the road unless actively working - $300 fine for the driver if caught - we also have O rings screwed into posts around the yards so if they are pups or just won't behave they get tied - length of chain has to be long enough so they can sit and lie down

Thank you for brining us another 'real life' informative video of being a sheep farmer and the amazing work you all do. Every video i am amazed at the dedication and care you Cammy and Lizzie and the team show toward your sheep and truly admire the stamina and dedication you all show towards your farming profession. Little Jock always brings a smile to my face his enthusiasm to help and care for the lambs is a lovely attribute in such a young child. And its lovely to see little Angus has now found his steady feet. Not long now and you and Lizzie will meeting your new baby. Do you and Lizzie know yet if the baby is a boy or a girl? Thanks again for showing us a much as you can about real life (and not Disney world) livestock farming of sheep and giving us a glimpse into the life of our wounderful farming community ❤

Love your dates with Lizzie and the boys. Cammy, you are alright. I'ts natural, life events. I mentioned to Sandi Brock between yours, and hers lambing experience is chaotic. Only hers is controlled. I appreciate all of your families hard work. Farming and farmers matter! You tube, please let them show how challenging it is to be farmers! And thanks!

thankyou for another great vlog. Hang in there cam I you really are doing a great job in the midst of chaos of things you can’t control. I was wondering if you have a count of how many lambs you have now and what the percentage of loss. I’m sure all the farmers in Scotland hae been fighting the weather with this lambing season. Best to you and your beautiful family

Remember Cammie they are challenges, not problems. Lizzie's eyebrows are beautiful. Infact Lizzie is just beautiful. Marissa is a gem. The boys are healthy and happy. The sun is out and it's drying up. Things will get better.

Lizzie you are looking great but take a break after this one , get one of those collars that you got for Spot an put it on Cammy 😂

I really hope there is better weather coming our way, much more for your sake than mine! I got your Gilet and Buff the other day. The Gilet is comfy and warm and I will be wearing this a lot. Love its high collar as well! The buff will be worn on my motorbike, so I'll send through any pics there are of me in it. I'm also heading up to Scotland on it later this year, so I may swing by to say hello!

I love your channel. I love the honest reality you share with us. I’m glad you’ve found a way to post videos without the blur. Watching you work your dogs, helping mommas deliver their wee lambs and not so wee lambs is refreshing. Laugh when you need to. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Rest when you can. This too shall pass. Sending you hugs from America. ❤

I’ve ordered merch to come to hot Alice Springs in Central Australia. It’s winter here and it’s 29*C today. Glad to support your channel and hope it helps to bridge some of the gap. We are the lambing squad and are with you with every lamb - whether good or not so good result. We love lambs 🐏 🐏 🐏 ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

As a Weegie living in Somerset I can tell you the 'over apologies' and indirect to passive circling the point is definitely an English thing. Lived all over the UK and love England but the inability to get to the point for fear of upset leads to upset. Lol! Scottish are always polite and you know where you stand and without undertone. Remember compassion fatigue is real Cammy. You feel for the sheeps loss as you have to deal with them all. That takes a toll. Death is never easy and you can't belittle loss. It's ok to be sad mate. Makes you a better person. HUGS!
