Todd is maybe the most underrated guitarist of the 21st century. Been listening since the 90's when they first came out. First time seeing this video. Good stuff.

Ever since the monsters stood true to their contract with the rocks under forced lock down, I found this concert and listen every day! I always loved "The Todd" . This is a man and a tight band that stand up for their art!

Because the media never promoted them much if at all. When the media promotes things you have people like Bieber and Lil Wayne higher up on the charts. It all boils down to people. The majority of people will only listen to what they are told is supposed to be cool. Fuck them. I'd rather listen to this anyway than Tool or Korn.

Wizzle It’s not so much that as they never get on those big labels because they probably don’t want to, they do just fine locally. Think of the Texas music scene. A lot of those country guys are MASSIVE in Texas but you don’t hear them on pop country radio. Remember Pat Green and that “Wave on Wave” song? Yeah that just got so big in Texas it kind of overflowed into the mainstream.

BHTM are still one of the greatest bands in the land, ever! 2nd time I saw them play in Potland, OR @ The Roseland, or Moore Theatre(?) Few yrs later, moved to WA state, early 2002 caught them in Seattle @ Showbox Ballroom downtown (1st Ave), did not even know they'd be in town til the day of the show. Heard about it on either KZOK or The MTN, left strait from work in Kent, knowing of course concert was already sold out but they always "held" a 100 or so of the tix. So parked nearby & began waiting outside, standing in newly forming line (I was 3rd) right by the nobody there yet ticket window & front entrance, tucked in covered doorway notch, avoiding some heavy drizzle. that was probably til 7 PM or so & then got a ticket - FAR OUT! Next luckily a few feet away was sidewalk cart dude selling fresh warm Brats.. then back @ my truck, ran the heater & a loaded few bowls. Lighted parking lot, not real dark, unattended but totally safe back then even all solo & no weapons. later after a beer at the Pike had another smoke outside, shooting the shyt with ppl on the sidewalk while these kinda tired looking guys went back n forth to a big long van parked close by. They were super focused & carefully pulling carts past us & carrying eqpt to inside the bldg, & going pretty fast, too. AND then I recognized them as NOT Roadies - it was actually BHTM themselves & 1 helper, maybe. 10 mins later, as I smoked probably my 8th cig of the evening one of the "band members" joined us by the curbside. it was Todd himself, wearing cargo pants I think & older but good hiking boots. Low key but friendly & not tired sounding at all. Chatted about 5 minutes, said they had just been in Portland. Told him I 1st saw them in Austin back in '93. As he walked away I will never forget Todd thanked us, “for driving up to their show & said to enjoy it...." Such a cool, very nice guy. And they defintly played us killer tunes that night. A few years later, took my gf to same Showbox venue for another BHTM appearance & after she was totally hooked on the band. about 2014, Beck & I saw them again, bringing along her daughter & niece. On way home 1 said she really enjoyed concert but thought Candlebox was better, I said WTF!? and almost stopped the car. What EVER. Live On, Brothers & Sisters... its a Beautiful World.
