im shocked right now, i guessed crocodile dundee based on the name and the fact he went to big city. (no idea what the hell that drawing of figure is). Thought i got it right when johnathon said it, then my correct answer was cruelly snatched away from me. Ghost busters incredible guess!

The chemistry between all the guests and Jimmy is really exceptional in this one! Everyone seems to be in a good mood and appreciating each others jokes... What a viewing pleasure! Thanks for the upload!

@@michaelchasse2645 There is a version some one edited on youtube that removes Mel B. so all interactions with her were edited out as well as when it cuts to show micky he is just sitting by himself. She started that show with an adversarial attitude and it got worse as things went on.

Speaking as an American, Kristen Schaal is a delightfully adorable representative on our behalf. I hope we can see her on more of your panel shows in the near future. You have made a solid choice!

I agree. I think she confused Ironic with Magic Bus by The Who.

Usually the BFQs with Richard Ayoade and Noel Fielding are my absolute favs but this one is right up there and especially the wine segment is one of my top 3 "I didn't know I was smiling until I stopped smiling" moments ever. Fabulous! Also, Kristen Schaal going "Bethesda" for "Balthazar" and no one else recognizing it, seemingly not even Jonathan Ross, whilst Jimmy was implying that nothing with that name even exists, was equal parts endearing and equal parts maddening.

Hah, Bethesda existed before the video game company, it’s a place in the Bible. Jonathan might have just been distracted though, or talking to Bob, etc. Sometimes the edits make it seem like someone is paying attention when they aren’t.

I know i’ve already seen this one at least twice, but… It has Mitchell, Mel, Schaal, Bob, and Ross all being silly and slightly unhinged. And, best of all, Claudia just being delightful in every way. _Of course_ i want to watch it again.

I love it when they play on each other’s jokes through the game.

Kristen is the best guest they've had, fits in perfectly. And her dynamic with Mel is so adorable.

David's premonition at 36:50 of William Shakespeare coining phrases is just as impressive as, but not as funny as, Jack Whitehall conjuring Mr Blobby in that one quiz.

Came across this after watching a few Mitchell and Webb episodes and immideately fell for it. I like how this has a genuine pub quiz vibe. It's also great that they always seem to find those American comedians who fit right in. Best bits for me: David's "I've never knowingly struck a man", Mel "With Corbyn I'd share a sherry, but Snow......rrrrrrr!" or "Craig David all over my boooong", that helicopter thing by Kristen, and Jimmy's " "It's a good thing David Cameron wasn't here" with the pig mask.

I LOVED this group. Usually the Quizzes have one person that doesn't really participate much or jive with the others (which is an understatement with Mel B) but I loved the sheer waves of comedy from this group.

Despite Noel or Richard not being in this one, it is my absolute favourite episode of any big fat quiz!

Rikki you are an absolute star, thank you for uploading all of these!

Mel should publish her recipe for "Energy Balls"!. Asking Kristen, AFTER she took a bite of one of the balls, "You're not allergic to nuts are you? You alright?" Kristen making a face saying "I think so" and Jimmy saying, "That was a great time to ask as well!" Nearly had me spitting out my tea. BUT the funniest line of that bit was after Jimmy noticing that Kristen had pulled a hair out of her Energy Ball container, Mel apologizes and then said, "Upper or lower hair?" I cracked up and then Kristen topped the sundae with "It was brown", I completely lost it! Maybe only people who dye their hair would find it funny, but the idea of a brown pubic hair when Mel is showing blonde hair struck me as hilarious.

As an american, "such" makes it sound positive, where "quite" would make it sound ambiguous(as in large or loud) or negative(as in overwhelming/obnoxious).

Mel innocently coming up with "Awesome clams" gave me a genuine good laugh

One of my favorite episodes, one of the best overall casts I've seen on one of these. As a kid I had a huge crush on Kristin from Flight of the Conchords and then Mel from Taskmaster, so seeing them team up perfect.

If most of the work you do is in the UK, and you live there, I think that rules you out as a foreign guest. The same is true for Reginald D. Hunter, who hasn't done Big Fat Quiz, but is hilarious on WILTY.

Mel Giedroyc needs to be on this more often

I'm convinced Joey says 'breast friend' at 16:20 and I can't tell if that's the most ironic slip of the tongue in all of history or a very, very clever, underappreciated joke.

What kept me watching when I realized Richard Ayoade wasn’t here was Mel and Kristen together- they are unpredictably awkward and made the show. Claudia was also on point that day and had some great lines- the bit about the horses on her shirt was quite quick witted .

Kristen is just awesome on this

I didn't intend to watch all of this but it really was wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other so much.

Mel is like the aunt who keeps trying to be hip and sometimes makes us laugh 😂 Before I get any hate that's not a bad thing

I laughed so hard. This was one of their best episodes. Excellent!!

The thing which was actually the starting point of a series of events which lead to Nixon being caught, wasn't the self-taping, but it was a piece of improperly placed tape. In order to break into the Watergate office complex, they used a piece of tape of tape to cover the bolt of some of the doors, one on a basement door in the complex's parking garage, and also on the sixth and eighth floors stairwell doors. The tape, rather than placed vertically along the side of the door, which would have hidden the tape from sight while the door is in the closed position, was instead placed on horizontally such that one end of the piece of tape was on the "interior" of the door and then wrapped around the side over the bolt, and then wrapped around again onto the "exterior" of the door. With the tape placed as such, it would be visible while the door was in the closed position. Hence, a night watchman during his rounds noticed the tape on the basement door. At first, he didn't think much of it, and merely removed the tape, and shut the door. Then later that night, he had noticed the door was taped a second time, and this is when he decided to phone the police and report a burglary. I just find it interesting how such a minute mistake like the positioning of a piece of tape can thwart such a tremendous political crime! I have no doubt that many have committed much worse political crimes prior and since Nixon, and although those crimes are devastatingly significant, it is not the corrupt politicians who worry me the most, but rather it is their controllers and their endgame which is beyond terrifying!!!

But what let them prove he knew what was going on was the recordings he made. The theory to why he made those recordings tends to be him having an obsession with preserving his historical record, though I don’t think we really know for sure. The part I find even more baffling, which I think historians are still unsure about, is why he didn’t destroy the recording when it became clear it was wanted as evidence. Of course it would look suspicious, but not as suspicious as your own words betraying you.

Verve was our wedding bubbles 12 years ago. Not just that, our honeymoon was in the UK and we ordered Verve wherever we went. All the little guesthouses/ stayovers/hotels were very accommodating with stirring our "nightcap" in their fridges. Had a bubbly time in the UK.
