I think Noel brings the best of a Richard. They might be the msot unlikely pair but they definitely are meant to be. Noel makes Richard alot more confident and happy

Finally. I've been waiting for this episode specifically bc I literally couldn't find it anywhere!!

One of the last appearances of the clean shaven David Mitchell in an unscripted show (he'd started growing the beard the year before, but he was filming a series of Peep Show around the time of this BFQ's recording, and his character Mark is clean shaven). Quite a noteworthy look for him.

If you remember the episode (Series 7 Episode 1, filmed about 9 months after this BFQ) David says he prefers to appear not so unnoteworthy that it's noteworthy, like wearing a grey tie. Speaking of grey ties, if you want to see someone wearing something so unnoteworthy that it's noteworthy, watch Sam Campbell in Series 16 of Taskmaster.
