More bass content please!
Sweet! Thank you! Certainly needed this.
This is such a cool format! And congrats for the genius intro
I absolutely love that Empress Bass Compressor. I use it for guitar as well and it doesn’t disappoint. It has actually kept my Cali76 off my board for almost a year now.

have any of you had the chance to test it against a DG Hyper Luminal? In terms of price they're the same, while the DG one looks more versatile to me.

Man. If the Empress ever dicks out for whatever reason and needs to be repaired, you have a super solid backup just sitting there in the Cali.
LOL Guillaume the kitchen-esque intro you guys made is EPIC! The fridge of pedals ... endlessly funny ... I'm crying! :D :D :D EDIT: Damn man! That basic driven sound you managed to get there reminded me of Royal Blood. Stankface meterial for shizzle.
Yes to more Bass content!!
great tutorial... I will now go look at the BUDGET BUILD... cheers!!
Great modern bass tones. Two Notes FTW
Very cool, more bass content!
Love the intro , it’s very clever . I like this episode, I’m always changing my bass board. Get both yet he awesome lady bass players in the kitchen for a pedal rig build. This has some great tips thanks.

Thank you so much and YES I can't wait to be able to film one of those episodes with Julia or Susi it would be awesome! :)

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses I look forward to watching those episodes. Thanks
One thing that always baffled me is the lack of HX Stomps in bass rigs. The Stomp does everything, has all the routing options and the amps sound great.

I gigged with a bass player for about a year who uses a HX Effects. It sounded great.

It might be a case of “know thyself”. If you like messing around with tech, then the HX Stomp and similar products are a good way to go. If you want a few bass effects on your board that don’t require much time investment, then individual pedals are probably better for you. I’m from the second camp, but fully appreciate there are many in the 1st.

@@Simon-C agreed. Through there is a learning curve to the empress comp or the source audio nemesis too🤷🏻♂️

just bought a hx stomp last week. the learning curve is brutal. I'm just a dumb bass player, but I've found some quality presets online.

@@RyanonBasss that's unfortunate. I've found the Line 6 devices to be the most user friendly. I have a Helix and I've been able to figure out just about everything that it can do by just playing around with it. I've never once had to open the manual. But that's just me...
did you noticed his training on the bass? i had 😉 in comparison to his first bass pedalboard vid. sounds good man. i like the bass pedalboard series. pls more of them!!
Yes thank you!!!

You are so welcome! Glad you liked the episode :)
The Nemesis doesn’t have analogue dry-through, so it will introduce latency when engaged. That’s gonna be a phasing problem if you’re running a second clean output tapped before the Nemesis.
More pedalboard content please!
Delay for bass but no chorus?
@countstoneula
Жыл бұрын
That’s what happens when a guitar player makes a bass board. 🤣 (Speaking from personal experience) 😂 Although I would have a chorus & a delay. 😝
The video is cool but now I want to see this with Cico too!
Where do you use your panel? Home, gig, studio, on the road? And what effects you using the most?
This is cool and all, but we want to see the bass players building pedal boards! Where's Julia's or Susi's board????
I have a question on this, as I was looking to build a board with the ReVolt Bass. It requires 12v 600ma for power. The Zuma has the voltage selection but 12v mode they drop to 375ma. How was the Revolt wired here?
question? You did not mention - where does the TS out of the Revolt Bass go to? I assume the Empress Buffer, but what jack? The Loop-in? if that is the case, is there anything in the buffer Loop-out? Actually if you could explain all the ports on the buffer what they connect to, would be helpful!
Bass content is always good Guillaume. More on the Thomann channel would be great.
Does bass really need an input buffer with a preamp and other pedals with buffers?
9:05 from which song this riff is?Sounds awesome
From an ergonomics standpoint, it seems like it will be hard to access the foot switches on the smaller pedals when they’re behind that big tube pre that’s much taller than they are. Wouldn’t it have made sense to put the smaller pedals in front?
Nice, impressive! Now lets see Paul Allens Board
C’est bon Guillaume t’as le Pedalboard de tueur, reste plus qu’à apprendre la basse ^^😅
What interface is underneath your board???
That is one awesome 👍👍👍👍 pedal board for us bass players. Would you be able to give us an estimate on total cost. I know it's not cheap but it's all top quality products. Stay safe and well and keep Rocking. Signed John ( Zepbass) Gregory from Munster Indiana, U.S.A.

Why don't you use a bass player to build the board?
solid set up, I would have thrown in an envelope filter and a chorus instead of the delay; but well done

As a professional gospel bassist u dont really need that much pedals mist inporten is di preamp compressor drive and a tuner
A video to recreate Royal Blood sound
This is beautiful. I'm not sure about the budget part of it😬
Do you really "need" any of this stuff?! Surprised you didn't showcase the latest HB pedlaboards

Thanks, good video! But maybe my English is poor, what is “budget” means….after watched this video……
More bass content…SamYaffa
The only pedal I this board I would even consider using is the StroboStomp HD. None of the other pedals are to my taste, and for every one of them, there are better options on the market. This looks like a bass pedalboard built by a guitarist, not a bassist.
No modulation, no good. Seriously, not a sniff of a chorus, flanger or phaser and you think that's a complete board?!
@PvtAnonymous

no dedicated EQ pedal either. I didn't even know how much it can improve the sound, thought I'd just get it for the giggles. Now can't live without one!
Darkglass is not a must. Darkglass' distortion sounds awful, and it's kind of silly to have three different types of overdrive and distortion on a bass pedalboard. The B7K Ultra is pretty good for a clean preamp, though.
