10/10 album

I don't know why, but I actually find this pretty funny despite never watched any of Joel's streams. I thinks it hits the same vein for me as Wesley Willis did with his music.

I wonder if Brad will like Joel’s more serious music from his band Scythelord or Vinny’s band Red Vox. Vinesauce does have decent musicians in the group.

I do think this is a case of Ripped Pants (From Spongebob). If the inside jokes escape containment, anyone who’s not in the community won’t find it funny. That being said, I wouldn’t be too hard on the people who are upset, they have a right to voice their concerns and be upset just as Brad has a right to voice his and not like the music.

@@SanguineThorThat’s understandable, where I’m coming from, if I was upset by Brad’s opinions, I’d talk it out with someone instead of lashing out at him in public. You saw it first hand, and that’s probably why I thought that being upset was okay. People do need an outlet for their frustrations, but you’re correct in that it’s not healthy to take it out on someone because they didn’t like what they like. It’s why I never use AOTY, I see it as a place to just fight people on music. I don’t understand how people think, but I believe that there should be healthy ways to handle emotions online. Talking it out with unrelated parties like you and the mods in private worked for me, but someone else might escalate it further and I don’t know the solution for the issue. Harassment should never be the answer to make yourself feel better or handle your stored up emotions.

This coming from the man who made genre:bradboy his forced cynicism towards certain things seems so juvenile sometimes

Whilst there is clearly a lot of effort in the album contrary to what Brad says, he is kind of right about having “no care” put into it. It’s a stupid joke album, it doesn’t need to be the pinnacle of musical achievement. Also Joel is very talented at what he does and the effort he puts into all his music shouldn’t be ignored.

This is the only time Ive been dissapointed in a Brad review. It's _supposed_ to be stupid and low effort.

I do admire Joel for apparently keeping his energy and enthusiasm for his shtick for 10+ years. I think it's obvious that most of the content creators that emerged from the late aughts are getting really tired of rehearsing the same jokes for their audience. Somehow Joel has been an exception to that. That said, this album is painfully unfunny, even as someone who enjoys his brand of humor.

And that's a perfectly mature take to have. I'm mainly annoyed with Brad's "holier than thou" behavior and how he starts comparing his own comedy music as being better, or comparing it to other comedy albums. It's just "peepee poopoo" jokes and he acts like a complete buzzkill.

@@pizzacrescent1080 i dont really watch his streams that much but i like the few videos ive seen from him, while he has a similiar humor in his videos, it usually works better in context with a game hes playing (or the windows destruction videos, which are great) i dont think the humor translates well into comedy music i like his serious, death metal stuff a lot more
