BIG BAD BROWNIES! Fly Fishing The Run For Hefty Trout! Yellow Breeches Trout Fishing W/ FISH HAWK!

Ойын-сауық

Today I decided to take a break from wild trout fishing and put my fiberglass 4WT rod to the test on some big ole stockers! Fly fishing the Yellow Breeches run was a blast using my little 6 and a half foot 4WT! Can't thank Fish Hawk enough for making the trip up from West Virginia to fish with me. Had a blast smashing fish with him today, and will most likely see us collaborate again in the near future! Hopefully next time can get him stickin fish on the fly rod hahaha : ). Always fun to hit the Yellow Breeches every once in awhile. Glad we were able to hook up, as well as land some hefty stocked browns which had some impressive shoulders! What a day it was on the water, can't beat days like this considering how low and tough the streams have been fishing wise.
Congrats to Fish Hawk for reaching 80,000 subscribers! What a crazy number, hopefully I can have that many one day, can't thank all you guys enough for tuning in every week!

Hoping to get back upstate this weekend for some pre - spawn brownies! Saw some rain in the forecast, hopefully that'll make the water at least a little off color in comparison to completely crystal clear!

    Lol when I foul hooked them big browns on my fiberglass rod I had no control of where they went hahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂. Was crazy! Love that little stream, but just due to how easy it is to catch fish don’t go there too often. Like a challenge hahaha but every once in awhile it’s so much fun coming over to this stream since it’s always loaded full of fish!!! Love fishing these crystal clear spring fed streams! So much fun especially since you can see everything under the water!!’ Thanks for watching buddy and tight lines as always!👊🎣💦

    Love that spot! It doesn’t matter if they’re stocked or wild, catching that many big fish on a small fly rod is a blast! Great tips on changing up the flies every fish or two, that technique works great when you’re fishing the same hole for a long time, I do it a lot up here in NY for steelhead!

    Jarrett!!! Lol it’s a cool little spot, however, not a good place to get addicted to or you’ll never improve as a fly fisherman hahaha. It really is nuts how many big fish are in there though!!! Lol would have moved to another hole but the majority of the fish were in that one hole hahaha 😂😂😂😂! And yeah it’s crazy how one little fly switch as long as you don’t spook the hole will result in a ton more hooksets, lol those stockers didn’t even spook at all, think their just that much used to people hahaha, tight lines brother, and thanks much for watching! You’ve gotta get back over here to PA sometime soon so we can get out again!👊🎣💦

Now just go there every once in awhile just to have fun, we need rain bad right now though, most of the wild brown streams in my area are so low you can’t even sneak up on the fish!!! Keep up the great videos man and tight lines as always!!! 💯🎣🐟💦

    Great day at The Run. Lots of nice fish and you guys put in the work. I can see you were up SUPER early to be there first and fish that out. Good for you to make a plan and execute it. Nice to see you fishing with Fish Hawk. Nice collab and glad both of you were able to get into some nice fish. Really liked the underwater footage. Cool to see how MANY fish are in there, and all THREE types of trout. Love it man!

    Hahaha yeah I always get everywhere bright and early but that place if your not there before first light lol you miss we’ll go home 😂😭. Was a super fun day though and we did land a ton of fish😂😂😂. Wish I could have gotten it on camera but some of the bigger stocker browns were acting like they were trying to spawn! They were jumping like 4ft in the air and clearing the spillway! I couldn’t believe it! 😂😂😂 I’ve never seen stocked trout make an attempt to spawn but that has to be the only reason why they were jumping over the spillway! Also saw some brookies which looked to be trying to create reds! I’m telling you, if they’d just not allow fishing there for a month or so to allow those fish to spawn, not only will it benifit the wild trout in the run, but all those fish will make their way into the breeches as well! Lol but know most likely that’ll never happen. Cool place to go to every once in awhile, as you know I’m more into the wild fish💯🎣🎣. Tight lines Mike and thanks much for watching buddy!!!👊🎣💦

    Owen, This video was crazy fun to watch! Turn your friend into a fly fisherman. My Buddy wouldn't go to fly fishing shows or trout streams because he's a Bass Fisherman fresh and Salt water. He's Hooked now and we do trips to the West Branch, Tully and it's just the beginning! Sent him a link to this video, the last under water clip was INSANE! Great Job!

    Man that’s unfortunate 🤦🏻‍♂️, I’ve never seen it before but I heard stories it gets poached very hard even know it’s artificial lures catch and release only regulated! PA fish and boat is so undermanned right now it’s ridiculous! It’s like one warden covering 3 counties!!! It’s a shame some people can’t follow the rules, surprised no one stopped them from keeping the fish. How I see it though is that it’s not their fault, it’s their parents fault and the constant feeding of this catch and kill mentality which has been present throughout PA for generations. It’s all about educating and teaching others the benefits of catch and release. I have no problem with people keeping a few fish here and there, but keeping them out of a steam you know is catch and release only shouldn’t be tolerated. Thanks for watching, and hope you enjoyed the video!!!👍🎣💦

    What are the best. Stremers

  • @Osnyfishingadventures

    @Osnyfishingadventures

    3 жыл бұрын

    In my opinion, I love using wooly buggers since at times when bigger fish may be finicky to come out and play such as a sunny day, my fly isn’t so big that the fish may be hesitant to strike. I’ve found using wooly buggers instead of massive articulated streamers has significantly helped me catch a lot of big fish this past spring and also into this fall!!! There really isn’t a true best streamer to use, really depends on what type of day it is and the stream conditions. Right now in PA, streamer fishing has been extremely tough since we haven’t had rain for a very long time! We need it bad, all the creeks are crystal clear and very low, and therefore using a really big streamer for trout specifically is very tough to do since they are very spooky fish. When it rains and the water gets off color, it’s much easier to catch fish on streamers, but I just really like wooly buggers since you then not only catch smaller fish, but also land big fish if you know how to target and locate spots they may be hiding! 👍🎣💦
