So your solution is to let Trump win lol. Young people can't actually be that dumb. This mentality gave us Trump in the first place, who then went on to appoint 3 SCOTUS justices. Do you really want that to happen again because feelings were hurt? This is like saying you would pick ebola because the cold is inconvenient and sucks. I hope you'll be happy when Trump full 2025s us and sends you off the camp.

Bad candidates require hundreds of millions of dollars. The only thing it takes to win are votes, and any candidate would draw more votes than Biden... which was also true one and two years ago. The point is that fascism is already here, and the Democrats rigged the primary again, and so we are going to lose.

All politics in the USA has descended to creating and maintaining DIVISION among the people. They could be arguing about anything, the content doesn't matter. The people with power maintain their power by turning the others against each other. It makes everyone worse off except the people at the top, but that's the point.

An enthusiastic voter will vote as soon as they are able while a reluctant voter might procrastinate, then might not end up voting at all due to circumstance. Like instead of voting early maybe they’ll wait until Election Day, but then they have a work or family emergency, or they need to go out of town, maybe get a booty call that sounds more fun than voting… life happens. So even if you have a ton of people planning on voting for Biden, if it’s unenthusiastic that’s a problem

I enjoy seeing Biden fail. He has a history of doing some pretty heinous stuff, as well as the truly horrendous things he's doing right now. Both parties are beholden to corporations and economic elites, and both will avoid even the tiniest effort to address wealth inequality, the housing crisis, climate change, or anything that means their donors lose any wealth or power. Relying on culture war issues to win isn't going to be enough for the DNC as things keep getting worse for people, and those corporations/billionaires they're beholden to will demand they continue to avoid substantive change for as long as possible, maybe forever, so their next best option is this _the other guy is worse_ bogeyman voting. If they haven't already, the DNC is going start doing everything they can to make sure their opponent is as bad and terrifying to voters as possible, but also means the consequences for a Dem loss will keep getting worse. I really don't want trump to win, but the Dems need to be shown that not being the worst isn't going to cut it anymore.

As professor Lichtman has said before, when it comes to presidential elections "forget the polls, forget pundits. They are only a snapshot in time.....key your eyes on the big picture and the fundamentals of the race." He said also said that "polls more than 2 months out from the presidential election mean nothing because of how wildly inaccurate they can be. Michael Dukakis in the 1988 presidential was ahead of HW Bush by 17 points until late August/early September, when Bush took the lead and then crushed Dukakis in a landslide. A poll conducted on July 21 and 22 of 1988 found that Dukakis had expanded the size of his lead over Bush to 17 points, with 55% of voters surveyed saying they would prefer Dukakis to win, compared to 38% for Bush. His lead soon began to shrink, however. For example, on July 30, Dukakis criticized the Reagan administration's handling of ethical issues, to which Ronald Reagan himself responded by describing Dukakis as an "invalid", after which his poll numbers dropped by 5 points overnight. By August 11, Dukakis' lead over Bush had shrunk to 7 points, and by August 24, Bush had gained a 4-point lead over Dukakis. Of the dramatic shift in Dukakis' poll numbers, Mervin Field said, "I have never seen anything like this, this kind of swing in favorability ratings, ever since I have seen polls, going back to 1936."

Other nations look forward and ask "How can we move ahead?" while in the US, politicians and even millions of our citizens ask "How can we get back to 250 years ago?" Like... I don't give a SHIT what the founders "envisioned". This isn't their country anymore. Let's make an America for the 21st century.

The corporate dems have spit in the faces of progressives since 2016, I expect no different this time around, it doesn’t really matter what appeals to voters. I didn’t care much for politics until the 2016 primaries but I was radicalized and have a huge passion for the issues now. I think Bernie was the only candidate who had actual policy change as their main appeal in along time. As much as I dislike Biden and Kamala with SIX conservatives in the Supreme Court I think Trump immune within the presidency is absolutely terrifying, especially as a woman.

It's apalling the discussion is that whether Biden should drop out of the election when the discussion someone need to be having with Biden is his resignation. Biden isn't going to make it another four years because he clearly hasn't made thorugh the first four years. Turns out all that talk about keeping Biden in the basement had some truth to it.

If Trump is as dangerous to democracy and the country as they say he is, then he should step down, but I really will be shocked if he does. At this point tho, what supporters does he really have in the party? It feels like it’s literally just him standing alone in this fight to stay the nominee. If that’s the case, then why can’t the party just nominate someone else ffs

I highly recommend studying the 13 keys to the White House. They have correctly predicted every election since 1860. It’s based on the theory that the candidates do not matter elections are primarily a vote in favor or against the party holding the White House. There is only 1 key about the traits of the candidates that being incumbent party candidate is charismatic, inspirational or a war hero Biden is clearly none of those do we lose that. The only key about the challenge party is the challenging party candidate uncharismatic. To quote Allen Lichtman who help create the system and is the only person who predicted both the 2016 and 2020 election correctly. “Trump is a great showmen but his showmenship only appeals to a fraction of the electorate he doesn’t have the overwhelming charisma of FDR or Ronald Reagan.” Biden has so far only lost 2 keys those being midterm mandate key and incumbent charisma key. there are 4 keys that haven’t been called yet 2 lean in bidens favor and two don’t those 2 that don’t being the foreign policy/foreign military success and failure key. If we replace Biden we lose the incumbent party candidate is a sitting president key and the inner party struggle key. Since if we replaced Biden there would be terrible inner party struggle so we would lose 4 keys with both the foreign policy keys leaning against Biden. Unless there a permanent cease fire which would be a miracle but highly unlikely. so if Biden doesn’t run we would lose 6 keys which is the number you need to lose the election. I don’t like Biden at all but I trust the 13 keys theory. It is always correct. The only other option that would not result in democrats losing is the less preferable Plan B. if Biden decides not to run he doesn’t just withdraw from running he resigns making for the “good of the country” making Kamala Harris president. That would save both the inner party struggle key and the incumbency key. We can’t go with Newsom or Whitmer as much as I wish we could it would be political suicide. Based on the keys to win we either go with option A which is the safer one stick with Biden or option B Biden resigns making Kamala president. Those are the only two viable choices this late.
