Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

Our infrastructure at home is crumbling, our middle class has largely shrunk, good wage jobs are shipped overseas, and while the government keeps giving money to the rich, we can't seem to pay for programs that help America's workers, but yet always have money for more war.

Trump executed the republican plan. He treated Iran as hostile and actually aligned us with our allies in the middle east. He stopped acting like negotiations could be made with Iran and instead made deals with Iran's enemies, bringing us -- and Israel -- more allies.

They really don't care on bit. Every middle eastern country has been around and will be around for ever. I think they look at America as the goofy Uncle that can't find his elbow from is A-hole. In 3 and a half more years they will have to deal with another goofball be him or her R or D with another idea. It all seems pointless.

But now with crazy zealots making law? Nope! The church has a place but not in the Whitehouse. America was founded on keeping church and state separated. Also freedom of religion. (All religions) but the far right Christian movement only want a certain kind of Christian in America. Is this one step closer to some crazy religious thing like the middle east?

You can't have a plan without talking it over. And there isn't a Republican solution. There's only two solutions: Either pull out of the Middle-east like Biden is starting to do and like Trump claimed to do, or escalate with more of the same, hawkish, Neocon policies that keep America in forever wars in countries that don't concern us. Asking for a partisan solution is simple-minded.
