I love Moody bible commentary. It has changed the game when I’m reading passages. I’m a NKJ girl but if something is very complicated I may read it first in NLT which is a very nice thought for thought translation and then go to the commentary for more depth.

The NLT was great for getting me interested in reading the Word and it's still my favorite for just reading the Bible. But now when I study, I primarily use ESV and my NIV Archeological Bible. Thanks for your videos Faith. They are so interesting and I'm leaning a lot!

Dixie Lou - Di cut Queen: Because we are going to LOve what yoU do Dixie❤️ Faith. Thank you so much for your channel, your content, and just being you in general. For a while now, I've been reading my Bible passages, but I felt like I was just glossing over the word, and I had this desire to join a group to dig deeper and talk about passages with others. And around that same time, I found the video when your Bible was rebound. And that truly warmed my heart to see how much you cared about your Bible, and I have been a fan ever since. Your passion to truly know God's word and share how to dig deeper has inspired me, and I did join the reading plan. I haven't been able to start yet( this season of life everything is changing and shifting. So I truly appreciate your grace period you include in it❤️), and I can't wait to start digging and deepen my understanding ❤️😌❤️😆❤️☺️ Have a beautiful rest of your day. And may God bless all that you do🙏❤️.

I wanted to share a die cutting trick. If the die has a straight edge anywhere, have the die go through at an angle. Straight edges are like speed bumps and cause the roller to jump over the die. Just like a car does over a speed bump. It won't take much, especially with small dies. Larger ones can be tricky, but any angle is better than straight through. I hope this makes sense!!!

I love Bible commentaries. My Bibles and commentaries have taken over my bookshelves and anywhere else I can find that books can be stored that are visible and easy to access. My heart's desire is to own John MacArthur's full set of NT Commentaries! Wow...if only. Too expensive for my budget though. As for translations, I use many of them: NASB, ESV, NLT, KJV, NKJV, MEV, NIV, RSV, AMPLIFIED, CSB, Message and Passion (used with caution). I am a Bible geek. BUT I am a happy Bible geek!

They told me I should write about it. So I wouldn’t have to fight about it. I didn’t want to cry about it. I want to build a life around it. Now I can finally talk about it. Despite the fact that I’m lost without it. There is nothing now I can do about it. I write so I don’t have to shout it. I write so I don’t have a doubt about it. They said I would work around it. A time would come when I would stand and be proud about it. I’ve spent so much time explaining how I found it. I can close my eyes and make my way around it. This pen.

I have recently discovered your videos and I thank you for sharing your knowledge of the Bible and ways to study scripture to draw closer to God. You inspire me to be creative and celebrate what God is teaching me by noting it through Bible Journaling. I just wanted to say that someday your Bible Journals will be a blessing to your children too when they are adults 🙂 Last night I was visiting with my mom and talking with her about your videos. She's in her 70's and has walked closely with the Lord since she was a child. She showed me and my husband some of her Bibles that she has kept over the years. They may have tattered pages falling out or held together with some tape and a prayer but they are so precious to her and me. It was so encouraging to read with her some of the notes she wrote and scriptures that shaped her life. We also laughed about this beautiful page in the front of it where she journaled a prayer because one of us kids went and stuck a rainbow "Jesus" sticker in the middle of the page and you can't read that part anymore. 😄 Keep journaling and inspiring others to leave a written record of their faith journey through scripture, a beautiful legacy to leave 🙂❤️🙌✝️

LePens! I used to use them a lot, until I saw what time does to them. After a few years, the ink had brown halo around it that had also leaked through the paper. Of course they may have changed their recipe in the last 10 years or so, but the ones I used were super not archival. Just FYI, you may not want them in your forever Bible. 😉

Hi Faith, The machine is a manual die-cutting machine, made by Sizzix. The little metal pieces you use to run through on the paper or card-stock are called dies. I do a lot of die-cutting myself, but never thought of using them for my bible journaling. I'm very new to bible study. Your videos are incredibly helpful to me. For example, I never heard of commentaries, before your videos. I feel as if a veil has be lifted literally and figuratively Thank you. Carol in Ohio

I'm trying to find the ones that I love the best. I've found the (Artline fineliners 0.1mm - 0.8mm) they are awesome, I assume, America, as them? As, I am in, Australia, and Artline is very popular here. And I've also been happily surprised with some cheap fineliners and brush pens 🙌🏻.

I just want to tell you that I so enjoy your videos. It helps give me perspective as a man since we have I think the same Study traits. I laugh because we have the same commentaries but I also love the fact that you are practical in your approach to studying Scripture which many videos aren’t. I have a question that isn’t addressed too much in Bible Study. Can you consult too many outside sources when studying? I mean I have a good sized library but there are times when after a few commentaries I’m a little bogged down. But I’m also wanting as many perspectives on a passage I’m looking at as I can. I never went to seminary so I wanted to ask your opinion of this. Answer when you can. No rush as I know you’re busy. But know I appreciate what you do. You help us men too. Keep up the good work. Blessings to you and your family.

If you like the lines across the biblical text just ignore me. But if you don’t like it. You can always underline the word. And then in the margin, or your tip in, or notecard or notebook, whatever, you write the verse and number. I do “v.12” to indicate verse twelve. You could also just do chapter and verse if it isn’t clear 1:12. Write the word you underlined. And then write the note you want to accompany that word or phrase. That way it’s really clear in text that you have a note about that word and it’s really clear which note goes with it. And it keeps your Bible legible

Do Bible commentaries have specific versions they work with? I prefer KJV, and I'm completely new to Bible study because I was never taught how to do it or what resources to use.

Faith, I love you! However I just can’t keep up. I feel like I’m getting anxious when I watch you. I have been a patroon and I wish you the best. I’m a 51 yr old perimenoposal woman. I purchased your boot camp but can’t access it. Best wishes to you and your family.

So i was reading the original old greek Verse (3:3) and the Word used is " ανωθεν" which means above and not again. So people have to be born above/ through God. Unfortunately even the New greek Translation uses the Word again - "ξανά ".
