She totally hit a home run for me when she talked about struggling getting into the community. I exactly feel the same way. I actually cried at Church on Sunday because when the pastor dismissed us, I was sitting there and felt soo alone and felt like why can i be like them and socialize and be with them. I struggle with being social because I don’t really know what to talk about and feel like they might judge me since i’m new and don’t really have a lot in common. I also work from home so I don’t really interact with anyone so that makes it harder. Please pray for me to hopefully one day things can change for me. Thanks for this episode. Loved it 😊❤❤❤❤

It makes me so sad and frustrated for the women out there who compare themselves to others and are trying so hard to reach a certain standard.. and that there are others pressuring and expecting them to be a certain way. Us women could thrive so much more not being under that scrutiny and pressure. I believe this is a big problem in the church and I think Christian culture really needs to be reformed because of the toxicity of expectations put on people. We would thrive and grow so much more focusing on love and kindness than performance and striving. Encourage one another towards love and good deeds… thats one of the primary reasons we meet together as a body. Encouraging is lifting up, its not burdening us with expectation to be a certain kind of super believer. I never really knew the power of love to transform until I took a break from the churches I was going to and started to renew my mind in the scriptures apart from the cultural Christian influences and also meeting my husband who wasnt influenced by that Christian culture. I experienced the real freedom I was looking for and began to understand the Bible with new eyes. So many people have born again experiences and start going to church and find a freedom they never felt before, but then after awhile the church culture starts imposing their rules and laws and another kind of spiritual bondage is put on them. Its so sad to see. There are so many things I miss about going to church and being a part of community but in my experience a lot of those communities ended up doing so much harm… I really hope that we can bring about change to the way we do church and how we treat eachother. Living in freedom and joy in Christ rather than being constantly disappointed in ourselves, our limitations and our “failures” or what we believe are “failures”.

I follow both of you and have taken courses from both. Although I have been a believer for many many years, I have always assumed that the Bible is something that I won't understand, I would read it, not understand it and just thought that's normal. A few months ago I came across Coffee and Bible time courses and thought that's exactly what I want to learn, to be able to study the Bible deeply and understand it. So I bought all available courses. It has been so helpful to me, to finally believing that the Bible is written for me, and I CAN read and understand. I learned to read the Bible with the overall storyline in mind. The course on the storyline with HW to read through all the important passages for each key point in the overall storyline is soooo helpful. It allowed me to put pieces of information that I had in my head into one continuously story that leads to Christ. I later came across Faith's channel and I took the Bible Study Bootcamp, and I'm currently going through the Theology Bootcamp, it's so helpful to learn about different theology, and to learn about questions that I have pondered but didn't know they had names (like Calvinism vs Romanian). Overall I can't say enough how much both of you have helped me. I am now reading and studying my Bible daily, and actually enjoy it. The bible has come alive to me, I look forward to reading God's word everyday, to see how he has guided his people and how faithful and loving He has been. It's just amazing! Thank you both so so so much!

But I would love to buy a few of their products but we just can’t get them and if we can get it (might b able to get highlighters) its way beyond my budget. 🙏pretty please🙏. FYI they cropped up on an art supplies convention (secular) and the guy mentioned them being loved by bible journalers. I might have squeeed having the bible mentioned in a secular place. Why do wives of those who pastor automatically assumed that they are in ministry as well and do it for free? Sometimes those wives are just church members and have their own careers outside of their husband’s careers. If this automation is unavoidable and wives are expected to be in “ministry” then they need a salary as well. Being a “pastors wife” then should be seen as a job and the wife be properly paid for her expected involvement. It’s baffling to me.
