Bible Study - 1 Peter

In this exegetical study of 1 Peter 4:10-11 we will explain how to use your gifts as a steward of what God has given you, list 5 reasons why people suffer (according to the Bible) and what is meant by "give God glory". This study is from the "Thinking Biblically: Sunday Evening Service" at Hosanna Christian Fellowship. The teacher is pastor Mike Winger. At last I've found an American teacher who I understand - an accent which is easy on the ears. I can't think how I found you but praise God I did. Thank you Mike for helping me understand the Bible more - especially the teachings of Paul in Romans. All good stuff!

HI. I'm watching this again in 2022. I don't know who might be reading this; but, God has recently made my husband and me stewards of a neglected, cheaply built house and land. We could have gotten my dream house for this price but I strongly feel that God wants us to 'steward' this property. I love it and am very excited to do so. Great visons for improvements have been coming to me. It will be a gloriously transformation; the only thing is I don't know where the money's going to come from. I believe that where God guides, God provides; and He wouldn't lead me to buy a house that was in such need of upgrading, then give me beautiful visions of grand improvements only to leave me no way to realize it. If you have a minute, please say a prayer for divine wisdom and provision for the proper stewardship of this property God has kindly entrusted me with. Thank you so much!

Sometimes in the Bible when they said 'Give God the glory', they meant 'Tell the truth'.

Hi, I hope you found the other lessons you were looking for. In case you haven't found them yet, I think if you type "Mike Winger 1 Peter" in the search bar on youtube, you'll find the entire series in order. I hope that helps.

Have you got your Gods sorted out yet Mike? 1 Corinthians 8:5, 6 .For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” There is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him. What is the name of your God Mike?

You know that God and Lord are synonyms in the Bible right? God is one but 3 in persons God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
