Bhutan's trailblazing beauty queen speaks up for LGBTQ community | AFP

Tashi Choden will not only be the first contestant to represent Bhutan at the Miss Universe competition -- she is also the Himalayan country's only openly gay public figure. The remote country is famed for its philosophy of "Gross National Happiness", in which it prioritises citizens' well-being on par with economic growth.

Since it's a kind of new topic to many of our senior citizen, it might be little be discomfort to some naturally. But am sure nobody go against their gender with violent. As long as they can talk and face their weakness of shy being a different , nobody will harm you. And Bhutan as a Buddhist country , in Buddhism , especially Mahayana ,everything is acceptable. Nothing is fix. By being you a gag , you do not harm anyone ,so why should you treated differently. In buddhism nothing is fix that you should or should not be like that. Having said that, surely some people may feeling differently and that's their own perception. I claim Buddhist and I accept anything and everything as long as you are not harming physically ,mentally and emotionally. I welcome anybody as my friend.

Listen "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word (Jesus) and believes him who sent me (God) has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.John 5:24 Are people born gay? Do people choose to commit adultery/fornicate or are they born with a tendency to sin? Please think about it. Repent/believe before the rapture. Out of love Jesus died for you, live for Him.

First of all she's a Buddhist, and second, please don't bring religion for shaming someone's sexuality. Jesus loved 'all', he never mentioned he hated gays or any part of LGBTQ people it's you who made that shit up. Respect Jesus.

Being born gay is like being born left-handed or people being born with blue eyes. If your god cannot accept his own creation then let them Live there lives, and you should now fly away to heaven alive coz internet and FB should not be a place for self righteous people like you to pass judgement on people. You're not a judge period. Haven't you heard of Jesus commandment " Judge not so you shall not be judged". Why the hella- bolla self righteous attitude prick?

Imagine using a 2,000 year old book to tell people that you are incapable of being around anyone other than people who are just as scummy as you.
