When you watch it first time this scene hits you like a bullet.Bhau kills bheekhu ruthlessly without doing any drama like it is a daily routine for him. And he died immediately without uttering any word. Only those who understand the nuances of good cinema can appreciate the beauty of this scene.

This scene hits you like a train. It is probably the only scene where the protagonist of the film dies much before the ending. And it's so sudden, it really hits you. When I first warched it I was just speechless. Suddenly, you stop thinking of it as a film and feel you are seeing a real life scene. I can't explain it. The sudden turn of events. Mind numbing.

he became isolated... mentally and emotionally gone... alcohol every night (according to numerous producers)... lost interest in quality cinema... just wants to stay busy. Depressed etc. Truly a legend in Indian cinema for everything he achieved & people he introduced to films... despite never going to film school, and not being from North India. He changed bollywood, and tollywood (telugu films) single handedly towards realism. He came out of nowhere in 1989 (he never even worked as an assistant director. he just managed to talk his way towards getting a producer for his debut film Siva... very street smart ). Back then this was unheard of. Directors worked as assistant directors for minimum 10 years before getting a film chance at all. Miss the old RGV. but his time is over

Reason why satya is classic hit. Lead character played by master Manoj Bajpai. Direction of Rgv. And most importantly the era of 90s and early 20s was the last era after which the artist stopped putting blood and sweat. This was the last decade when actors where puppets of directors and would get best out of the actor. Now the director is puppet of actor. The time has come when audience has become slave and heroes and chamchas like co-artits have become king, thanks to moron piece of audience.

After this era directors have start taking off bras and panties instead of putting blood and sweat , and start making just adult movie, no story, no sceane, no acting, just a adult shots which you can't even sit and watch with your family. Right now, specially after 2010, it's just stop coming absolutely fine movies like this.

Although this movie is a work of fiction but many themes in it remind me of the 1990s Karachi. There were lots of Bhiku Mhatre(s) in different parts of the city. Bhiku(s) who survived getting killed by rival factions, were killed by the police. But Bhau Thakurdas Jhawle escaped unhurt and is still living peacefully in London.

When I was watching this movie, it was a camera copy tape, there wasn't many people that I could share about this movie. Till Ab Tak Chappan, still not many. Today after I watched complete Family Man. Still not many that I can share the excitement with. I believe watching a movie and watching a movie intensely makes a lot of difference.

The main architect of the film Satya is neither Bhiku mhatre Nor Satya. It's vakil Mule..aka Makarand Deshpande.😊 He time and again warns Bhiku and gang...of their actions. Ek jayega to sab jayega...was his statement just before interval and here too. And also at start of the film he warns Kallu mama to control Bhiku. He saw it all coming. Great actor anyways Makarand Deshpande and great character

Satya is a loose remake of Rgvs old Telugu film Antham. He was disappointed with Antham because he had good source material but failed to make a good movie out of it. So he made it again in the backdrop of mumbai underworld as Satya
