Please keep making these. Really ingenious, I would like to see others attempt it too. Not the traditional speedrun game but there’s lots of cool things you found and I bet there are more ways to cut down time out there

Awesome run, I hope this Baldur's Gate 3 category becomes more popular. I have a few questions about the strategies: Why do you keep adjusting your toolbar? Does it do anything, or just a fidgeting thing? I'm also curious why you kill Tav at 23:20. If its for spell slots, don't they refresh on Act change anyways?

So moving a action around your toolbar lets you cancel the current animation your character is playing, for jump this cuts the start up shorter, casting spells it will stop at whatever point you're at. Ideally for spells you want to do this as soon as the effect is applied. 23:20 this cut scene is part of the nightsong kill. First half is started by Shadowheart, then it'll switch to Tav as long as Tav isn't in a conversation. Since the second part Isobel is killed, if you kill Tav instead of watching the cut scene you can save Isobel along with everyone at Last Light inn. It's not needed for the run, just another way to save the npcs.

@@MisterOgam Thanks! And wow, the end of Act 2 cutscenes seem to be a very complex part of the run, especially since it's the only part that really requires 2 concurrent party members.

14:22 this clip where you walk through the puzzle door is fixed, alternative is to bring a barrel or chest to clip through the wall. everything else still works

Any way to simulate glitch at 9:36 when we sending to camp trader items? or it was bug which is fixed now and we should find another ways to obtain this items?

This glitch is still possible. - Talk with an npc with a controller (can be swapped from keyboard and mouse to controller mid conversation) - press `Top Face Button` (Xbox controller should be `Y`, Playstation controllers should be `Triangle`) to enter trade - switch back to keyboard and mouse once trade windows are up Afterwards you can right click on any item and send it to camp without being caught. If you send it to a party member, it'll be treated as being stolen.

Can you explain what happens around the 15 minute mark where Tav just telaports?

Context - Before killing or freeing Nightsong, when you leave to Baldur's Gate early in act 2 you'll be sent to Moonrise Jail. Doing this after either Nightsong options will result in a game over. So at this point we start up 2 dialogue sequences - Shadowheart enter Nightsong Prison - Tav exits road to Baldur's Gate Nightsong Prison will forcefully teleport the entire party Whereas Tav is the one trying to leave the map will be sent to jail. This allows us to split the party to do both Nightsong sequence and start moving to Kethric fight below Moonrise.

How does the send to camp trick work for those items? Isn't that just theft, but because the item teleported to the camp 'space' they don't detect it as theft?

This was a bug , when entering the shop menu with controller then switching to keyboard/mouse. This allowed you to right click on items and send them to camp without getting flagged as theft, whereas sending it to a party member would still be considered as theft. It has been since fixed in Patch #3. baldursgate3.game/news/patch-3-mac-support-magic-mirror-more_93 "Fixed a bug when switching between controller and keyboard and mouse that would let you just right-click on traders' items and send them to your camp without paying for them." Alternative to this would be to either split gold to smaller chunks in the shop's keeper's inventory by splitting the gold stack and stealing a bunch over time with a low DC. Kill or knock out the merchant; to attack them safely you can smuggle an NPC out by picking them up with throw or improvised melee then canceling. Reference here, it is frame rate dependent so it'll take some attempts to finally grab them. You can drop any off by attacking the floor or any action where you have a previewed ghost of yourself like jumping somewhere outside your normal jump range. kzread.info/dash/bejne/e6CWss2bds_TfKQ.html

when you meet Orin in the sewers first time she'll be in the form of her captive. Here it's Yenna, you can ignore her by using the Artifact or polymorph when she tries to talk to you. As long as she doesn't transform back to normal, next time you see her at the Bhaal alter she'll stay in the same form, Yenna in this case. While she's Yenna she'll have 5 hp you just need to knock her unconscious. The game will consider her dead even though she's still alive, this is a bug.

wow fascinating! how come you could just spam arrows at ketheric without initiating a fight? is he just scripted to keep walking around if the cutscene doesnt play?

If you kill Nightsong and skip the fight at Moonrise rooftop, you can attack Ketheric outside of his line of sight and he'll ignore you.

I tried recreating this to easily get the Tactician achievement, but found I couldn't recreate any of the times you jumped through walls or objects no matter how much I tried! I'm curious if it's just me targeting the wrong spots, using my camera incorrectly, or if it matters what version I'm on as maybe they patched these skips in recent updates. To further clarify, I couldn't recreate your jumps at the following locations: Nautiloid skip: 1:28 Balthazar Room/Moonlantern: 10:32 Shadowheart to Nightsong Portal: 13:13 Tav through Silent Library Fence: 14:18 Tav through Silent Library Hidden Wall: 14:23 I didn't go any further in the run as being unable to go through the Silent Library kind of has me stuck haha. Any advice on how to do these, or a guess as to why I couldn't recreate it?

1:28 if you bind your "interact" button to something like scroll wheel you can spam that along with jump, you should be able to force jump towards where you want to go. you can still get stuck in walls and objects 10:32 same as nautilold, this one just uses height of your jump to clip through the ceiling 13:13 make sure you're able to squeeze between the pillar to the other room, otherwise you can get stuck. you can also go too far and end up under the floor of the other room. I haven't checked to see the thresholds yet. 14:18 you can do this normally as wildshape cat, forcefully jumping through at this side of the fence allows you to clip half way through then walk through normally to the other side 14:23 this may have been patched in "Patch #2", I'll have to do some testing

Which spells? Ritual Spells like Enhanced Leap and Feather Fall doesn't consume spell slots out of combat.
