@@CampusautoCoThank you for theinfo will the ko3 come in a 37x18. thanks.
I feel like the designers of the tire consciously knew that people actually wanted better performance on road over the old KO2, but understood that those buyers were attracted to the very characteristics that made it worse on road. So they made big changes to the side wall to distract people from the marginal decrease in space between the inner tread blocks. They gambled on people remembering the thousands of times it performed better than their old KO2 on road over the few times it did worse than KO2 off road. A logical choice, but the reason the KO series became popular was that it wasn't designed for the road, so making it closer to road tires people were escaping from seems foolish. Just my $.02.

Goodyear has made a New Duratrac RT. Gets rid of studding options on LT tires, adds more sipes for winter traction, all sizes now start at a load range C and all are winter rated with the 3-peak mountain snow flake. They all also have Kevlar in the sidewall to help cut down on noise, they've also tried to cut down on cupping.

Great looking tire, it does look like it'll be quieter than a lot of other tires due to the tighter tread. The sidewall looks mean though, I like it a lot. So cool! Looking to buy some truck tires next spring these maybe just the ticket.
I’m going to stick with the KO2’s on my Gladiator. It’s a little more aggressive and I don’t normally drive faster than 50mph.
Seems to me the KO3 could be the best tire for hunters who travel pavement and alot of backroads under various conditions. KO2s preformed very well for me in deep, heavy wet snows. Instead of spinning and turning the base to wet ice they would dig and kick my HD out of everything last winter (Northern PA.). Agree they're poor in mud, but no worse than other ATs I've tried.
BFG was always my go to tire, but I got tired of having balancing problems, and the white lettering option is very limited now. Still the best looking tire IMO.

Not the best performing. Imo the Falken wildpeaks are the best all terrains hands down I’ve ever tried. They shine in every condition and every environment and just does it all better than the ko2. But I will say ko2’s are no slouch and my second favorite all terrain I’ve ever used and I do agree that ko2’s are the best looking AT. The Falken wildpeaks are the only other tire that look as aggressive or almost as aggressive as ko2’s especially the sidewall design, both tires look more aggressive than any other AT and both perform very well but falkens don’t have any balancing problems out of all the times I’ve bought the wildpeaks and their rain and snow performance is insanely good as well as off road. You will be good with either tire in most conditions besides maybe insanely muddy trails but that goes for any tire outside of MT’s
Just had a set of these (275/65/20) on my 2023 F-150 and had to take them off, by far the worst tire I've had on a truck for winter driving. Even with them aired down a little I was still all over the road. The Tires I had on my truck prior to these were the K02's which i've never had an issue with winter driving.
As for the RFID chip, im sure it has a lot to do with registration, tracking, date codes etc. and making it easier for the shops to know their inventory better as well as give some sort of feedback to BF Goodrich if/when the customers bring their trucks in for service.

Rfid isn't for tire pressure. That's a tpms. RFID is a tag, think of it like a digital barcode where you can scan it and get a small amount of information on it. The thing that would be really crappy is the ecu on your vehicle could read it and then dealerships void your warranty if you use a non OEM size. That would be my concern.

Sounds shady to me
I always really liked BF Goodrich tires but I was extremely disappointed with how small their sizes run lately. I bought the 34x10.5R-17's. I read on the website that they were supposed to only be 33.5" tall, but they actually measured just over 32"! They were only a half inch taller than my factory tires. If they make a proper 35x10R-17 I might give them another try again.

They are like this since forever, 2" smaller than advertised is across the board is fairly common with them unless you buy their race tires which are true to size
They will pack up with mud even worse than the ko2s with that tighter tread pattern. I see this more as an all weather tire
This actually looks like a really good tire. The KO2 is great but it has some key weaknesses that have kept me away from them. Might have to try these.

Always been partial to the Michelin for the sedan and crossover, coming into hd truck market soon and will have three to test now. Boss, Duratrac, and now KO3. Can’t tell ya how bad been wanting a good ole fashioned dead heat.
1:30 Full depth sipping. That's why I couldn't wait to get rid of my KO2's that came on my Tundra. They were barely inspect able but the dealership refused to replace them because they were passable. I thought I was going to die every time it rained.
They look a little milder than the ko2 but that may be because of the fact that they are for a 20 inch rim. Wondering if BF Goodrich may come out with a hybrid cross between a A/T and mud tire at some point. I don't do as much off road as i used to but need to be at my job when it snows so id like to try these out. Ive had 3 sets of the older All terrain T/As back in the 90s and early 2000s. They worked good on snow and respectable on the highway at higher speeds. I'll be interested in trying these. They look great.👍
Great video.. thanks! I'm sure these new KO3's will be amazing tires. I have E rated KO2's now and just appears mine have a more aggressive tread??

Spend most of the time on the Hwy so I need to lean toward something good for dry and rain, and not run us out of the truck with noise and be comfortable. Yet still be decently strong enough to not be overly concerned about damage on rough mixed gravel. Thinking the cooper may be the way to go in XL range, or the General in D load, seems few make those in between ranges. Thanks for your input.

I have 84,000 miles on my 285/70/17 ko/2's and am ordering a new set today (5th set ive owned, and i am 100% never changing to a different tire) The ONLY thing better than these is the original BFG all-terrain's i use to buy for my tacoma, that they no longer make! Ive pulled bolts, nails, screws out of the tread without having to repair them, no leaks. Ive scuffed the sidewalls on extreme trail rides and never had a gash/roll off/cut that caused concern. I run these on 2 vehicles: 2000 jeep xj and a 2003 toyota sequoia, both are modified for off-road use.

What would be your number one tire pick for 4x4 f150? Tow a small landscape trailer daily and no more than a dirt road as far as offroading.
Looks like they are concentrating on on road performance over off road.
I have tried the bfg ko, ko2 . Both were decent all around tires. I currently have a set of falken wild peak At3 . How do you like your 24 compared to the 23? I am seeing more 23s coming up used and might buy one but wanted to ask your opinion
Would be curious to see if the KO3 can sustain heavy 3/4-1 ton with diesel engines that had crushed the KO2 into dust, forcing BFG to create the DT version of the KO2 for heavy trucks.
I'll be happy to get rid of my KO2's, which are impossible to balance. Hopefully that is the MAIN update
Which would you recommend, the K03 or the Toyo RT Trails? I'm juggling between these two. Thank you.
BFGs are notorious for catching, holding, and throwing rocks.
You think these will be better in the wet? I hate how the ko2s slip when taking off in the rain. Doesn’t take much gas to spin the tires
How much longer can these tires last? I remember having the original BFG AT on my 91 Wrangler, and the tread lasted way longer than any other tires I had on that Jeep. The only reason i got rid of that set was because I got a larger set for free. What a mistake it was to change to a free set of Bigfoot or Big O or whatever those junky tires were. Then they came out with the AT K/O and that was nothing more than improvements upon perfection, and that set was still on the Jeep when i sold it. Those tires never gave me any trouble. Every new release from BF Goodrich is definitely a great thing to hear about. I'm not sure what thry could inprove upon, except maybe the noise, but then agaon, the last two K/O TA itterations were quiet conpared to other brands. Can these last longer than before? We can only wait and see.
Is that the new BFG HD terrain under the KO3? I’d love to see a video of a review of the HD terrain can’t seem to find much on them yet
