Beyond All Reason Teching, Greedy Opening into non-stop Fiend/Shuriken

Ойындар

A bit more refined core opener, where we get both the rezzer & energy storage & metal storage & twitcher & t2 and don't choke, then make pushy army with great eco.

Thank you for this build order, I think being able to push out that t2 with such a strong eco is really impressive. Certainly scary to go against a team with one or two focusing on this build

6:10 What command did you issue in order to reclaim all of the winds? It was instant.

Ah, good question, discovered on my own, but it took time, after seeing some player. So what you want to do - is press E to bring up reclaim. Then, aim at the windwill (preferably center), then hold alt, then click AND HOLD primary (left) mouse button, and drag a circle. Everything in that circle, with that building type will be marked as needed to be reclaimed. Hope that helps.

One question, why does everyone usually fully reclaim the com? I feel like leaving 100 metal left so you can rez it later once 2k metal isn't as big of a deal seems way better than the little extra metal. An extra com at the end of the game could be the difference between killing a key t3 or getting wiped.

BAR has too big of a skill ceiling, then. Your assumption is super correct. I really appreciate you asking this question and I was in the same situation and asked, why do people do or not do this. Yes, its preferably to leave comm on like >15 metal, I'd say leaving on 100 is a bit too generous (since that is make or break if you can make metal storage and t2), you should aim to stop the rezbot (with W as wait) just when you are about to suck it down. With rezbots you should definitely do that, I didn't pay that much attention, since before the hybrid builds I used to suck down comm in nano range (meaning the nano would eventually eat the comm anyway).

The thing is when you reclaim you get a trickle of resources as you reclaim and then the rest once you fully reclaim it.

Uhh what about someone early invading you with grunts or pawns? Base with no defense seems super bad

It is a teching build - suited for 8v8s, you allies are meant to protect you / feed you with metal, while you give them t2. It relies on teamwork. Although you are right about the last part, I usually get like 2 grunts/pawns for base defense against some scouts. As you notice, I'm in the corner of the map, surrounder by 3 allies. Is somebody is invading it's duty of the frontliners to protect you. Sure, if everyone techs, then early rushes do work well vs these teching ones.

I don't see the advantage of the build. How do you survive for the first 15 (!) minutes even without a com? If your opponent is very passive this could work but in any other case, you are dead.

It's teching build, meaning my allies will fight tooth and nail for me to survive. I hope I'll be able to cast a real teching/support game to show you what I mean. It's not 1v1 or anything.

as Lsr said it's teching it's basically like guys you are gonna struggle for x time and then I'll just steam roll them with a huge burst of x(fiends and shrukiens in this case) so it's not a 50-80 minute slug fest BUT (this is the most important thing) good tech-ers are ones who see that the frontline tried it's best but is failing and quickly give up on the tech and transition to "advanced frontline" because well your tech isn't worth a damn if your line is 30 seconds from wipe, same thing with nuke rushes I generally am frontline and sometimes my eco player doesn't get it up in time other times they do, nuke the frontline and all be it battered to all hell units waltz on into their backline and other times they're too stubborn to transition, I fall and GGNORE. everyone is important to it and even though the techer will have all the stats and awards at the end of the game one couldn't live without the other. my greatest eco game was one where I gave 6 players T2 con and 11 titans to all lanes in a extremely fast time and titans go brr that early game said I slept for 32 minutes as I just gave all my units to them to micro so I could micro eco.
