excellent commentary. reminiscent of any classic sporting event, where without a good commentator the momentum of the spectacle isnt always apparent. great job man, keep it up.

I agree. Actually just saw him on PiG's salt mines, and then on Company of Heroes 3, and then suddenly he starts dropping BAR content and now I'm hooked to the game and watching this content. Keep up the good work!

7:00: Sheep really throwing the game by marching so many units, repeatedly, into the meat-grinder, when he could have killed a third of the eco, to either side. 15:45: Sheep made so many Shuriken but has no units with actual weapons xD 32:08: Wow. That is surprisingly beautiful =o

I'm Commander Shepherd, but not Commander Shepherd from Mass Effect, for legal reasons, and this is my favorite hunter gatherer simulator on the citadel, which is not the Mass Effect Citadel, for legal reasons.

Game seems more suited to big team games where you get to see unusual tactics and fancy units.

The Cortex advantage in competitive play seems an issue. The description you gave clarifies it. If the Grunts have longer range, the Pawns should have better movement speed. Sort-of like a marines vs zerglings situation.

Could a better best of 5 be scripted? This was great from start to finish. Thanks for sharing!

Especially for people who just watch and don't play RTS games, do a whole lot more of the views without icons, that way we can see the units hitting each other better and exploding. Watching the carnage. Don't get me wrong the strategy is crucial, but for the entertainment value the visuals are so important. Zoom in on those little micro plays, it is soooo satisfying to watch the unit move and die without the icon on top of it, thats what makes Starcraft 2 such a joy to watch, because even if you don't thoroughly understand the mechanics, you get to watch it play out viciously while being able to clearly see the character models tearing each other apart.

I wonder what would happen to the meta if the devs increased the Pawn's movement speed by one point... 🤔

As far as which grunt wins at 56:45 the only explanation I can think of is that first shot on the rear direction as far as movement goes (which way the legs/wheels/treads are facing) gives extra damage? Not sure if you've found the answer to that but it's intriguing what happened there and if it can possibly be used consciously during micro. Also make more BAR! We crave it! Edit: I redacted my previous analysis after watching it back in slow motion lol It does however seem that their fire rates fluctuate for some reason. During one volley of lasers Teddy will hit first and on the next round Mightysheep will hit first. This itself intrigues me and makes me wonder if the laser visual is just an animation and doesn't accurately represent when damage is inflicted? I'm not sure. Originally I thought that whichever grunt shot first won. It seems though that they both shot each other at the same time despite the fact that the sounds of their lasers, and the visuals that they correspond to fluctuate. All the while the damage dealt stays the same and doesn't seem to correlate timing wise. lol

Noob here! So sometimes I'll be wasting metal AND energy while units are qued up and still being built slowly... what am I doing wrong?

That means you need more build power to convert the resources into units faster. For example, by having a few construction turrets next to your factory. Build power is probably the most complex part of the eco in these kinds of games. If you have too much, you will be stalling a lot and inefficient, but if you don't have enough you'll be wasting metal, so you need to balance this out by using resources just fast enough that you don't stall out completely but keep your storage low for the most part.

the campaign needs balance haha tried it on beginner and and other team had tier 2 before i even had like 10 tier one units also game needs to re balance defence structures possibly just for PvE since they are pretty much useless

NGl this is a hard game to watch. its so zoomed out all the time so much going on.. SC i like u get to see the units.. FAF can be zoomed out at time buts the icons dont cover the units as much.. this game when cast always is watching little icons moving and just is not as fun to watch.

It's also a sem-cultural thing. Dunno how it started, but it's common in a small subset of the community to say "gg" to acknowledge a mistake/good play throughout the match, not only to concede the match at the end. Was only recently that I discovered that some people expect that you're gonna resign immediately after you say "gg", and if someone says "gg", I keep playing as if they said nothing. Since discovering it means something specific to the vast majority of the RTS community, I've been tryna train myself out of it… but 5-10 years of habit it hard to un-learn
