Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ proves that we’re all living in Bey country: review
Ойын-сауық
“This ain’t a Country album. This is a Beyoncé album.”
So decreed Queen B in a rare lengthy Instagram post about “Cowboy Carter,” which is “Act II” in her “Renaissance” trilogy that began with the underground house beats of her 2022 album that had us buzzing and bopping to “Break My Soul,” “Cuff It” and “Alien Superstar.” NY Post Senior Entertainment Writer Chuck Arnold shares this review.
And while it may seem like a hair-whipping flip to take it from the ballroom to the barnyard on her latest, it is not as radical of a departure as it may seem for Bey herself, who hails from Houston, Texas, and is as Southern as any hummingbird could be.
“They used to say I spoke ‘too country’/And the rejection came, said I wasn’t ‘country ’nough’/Said I wouldn’t saddle up/But if that ain’t country, tell me, what is?” she sings with a snarl in her twang on “Ameriican Requiem,” the autobiographical manifesto that opens the album.

Can we get a review from Someone that isn't in the beehive???
The album is a masterpiece and takes you on a genre-bending melodic journey from beginning to end. It's an eclectic mix of melodic music with 80's influence, gospel, rap, folk, country, 60’s era rock and roll, and rock-n-roll. She's trying to break out of the box of the genres. I listened to the entire album in one sitting. It’s a work of art and meant to be listened to as a body of work not just individual tracks. One must have an appreciation for art and the creative process to appreciate this admirable body of work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Her album should top the charts longer than 3 weeks! Every track is fire!
The song. "Just for fun" is the most country sounding of all the songs. and it is sensational. It's a beautiful romantic song
She has way more hits on this album than he highlights.....

Facts!!
Just one correction: “Cowboy Carter” is currently predicted/projected to debut at #1 with 350-400K units sold. Ariana’s new album debuted with 227K sold. Beyoncé has never debuted with less than 300K sold first week. Beyoncé’s album is bigger. It doesn’t matter who’s younger or older.
The songs that stand out for me are II Hands II Heaven, Just For Fun, Protector, Daughter, Jolene, Alligator Tears, Bodyguard, Flamenco, American Requim, Blackbiird, II Most Wanted, and Leviis Jeans.
The album is a classic from top to bottom! Give it time.. everyone will absolutely love each track just like Renaissance.
Beyonce ❤❤❤❤
I never thought I would like it but I love it 😁
Every now and then a "misfire"??? Please tell me where. The entire album is enjoyable in my opinion. He should have at least qualified this claim with a "for me" or "in my opinion."
The way yall act like everything she puts out is a masterpiece is mind boggling. Her album is HORRIBLE.
It’s not country at all.

Black people created the genre, so they get to decide what it is. Thank you.

And you don't get it. She is a genre. Your mind hasn't wrapped around that
Not!!#
😂
Jolene is trash. She should have scrapped that one. It’s very hard to cover a classic.
This guy needs to get back to shining shoes or something because his music reviews are a joke!!! 🤡🤣🤡
