I tried to give Cambodia a chance, stayed there a total of 30 days but I found the place depressing. Those poor dirty little streets are sad to see and don't have much charm like rural Thailand. Hope you had a good experience though.

I am from Cambodia specifically Ta Khmao. I see those kids almost everyday on the street begging for money. It's so heartbreaking and frustrating to see and even worse when there's little I can do about this issue. I believe those kids are used by their selfish parents or probably illegal organized groups so those kids can make them some money. If you give easy money to those kids, most likely their parents will take it away from them. So if you see them on the street, it's better to give them something to eat and drink.

That the problem in US adults use fake post sign of dead or cancer kids or have their own kids to sit there all day just to get money from residents but I don’t give them money I only help out street vendors week ago I bought an bag of oranges from street vendor lady it was $10 so why not the orange were delicious not too sour so if I see her or an dude I saw last time I’ll buy again.

You shouldn't give kids that young money out like that. They will get beaten up by other kids/people and take their money.

when i worked at the Canadian Embassy in Cebu City there were 4 homeless kids that would follow me from my apt to my office. i would buy them each a egg noddle sandwich and a bottle of water. they always wanted pop instead LOL
