Cleveland was the butt of many jokes in the 80s lol

his face before he first says "How ya doin?!" and while he says it is priceless. i love eddie in this movie but i gotta give props to the writer... an 80's movie that still has some seriously epic scenes that can hold up in 2015 is a job well done. for some reason i had never paid attention to this movie even tho i watched it before but to see it now it is truly a decent flick and it surprised me how good it was..

I like Eddie Murphy. He can be both serious and funny at the same time 😂

The first key to running a convincing con, don't play into your mark's initial impressions. If Axle ran, then he gives away that he's not supposed to be there. By openly addressing and greeting security, he is acting like he belongs there. Number two, don't commit to your cover too early. That's why he kept his initial dialog non-specific. Number three, work with what you got. He uses his badge because he's reasonably sure that the guard won't recognize a Detroit Detective shield. Even so, he flashes it fast enough. Then, he uses the time while the guy is away to work on his cover now that he's not under the gun. This hints at his history referenced earlier in his scene with his criminal friend. It's also why he's a good detective as he probably has a well-trained bullshit detector from working that side of the law.

During the "super-cops" monologue, Ashton is pinching his face hard and looking down in apparent frustration. He is actually laughing. Reinhold put his hand in his pocket and pinched his thigh really hard, trying to prevent himself from laughing
