I was a bit confused as to why this video we posted 2 years ago became suddenly so popular and realized this month marks the 35th anniversary of the original movie. So I went to check a few things online and in terms of him potentially coming back as Serge, he said to Forbes: “Oh, I have no idea. I have a long-standing agreement with my manager where if there’s a phone call and there’s an offer and they say, ‘This is the start date. Do you want to do that?’ then that’s great and I’m in,” (...) “If there’s any other form of the conversation like checking availability or whatever, I want them to just leave me out of that because then you’re wondering if it is going to happen.”

I would argue that he is so well portrayed that the actor must have created enough backstory so that Serge is actually the real protagonist and for some random reason, the director of the film told Axel Foley’s minor storyline. 🤦‍♂️😇

I hated this film at the time. They camped the franchise up too much. I don't mind it now though.

I don't think I've ever seen a minor supporting role in any movie that totally steals every scene he was in like Bronson did. And he did it opposite Eddie Murphy. Simply wonderful work.

Fun fact: Bronson Pinchot was pretty much given free reign to do what he wanted with the character, and improvised the heck out of it, all from mannerisms to the lines. That is why Eddie is so toned down in this scene because he is mostly reacting to Bronson; they are improv-acting and making stuff up on the spot as we see it.

Serge's character is a master class in how to take a small part and own the whole scene. Especially in the first film, funniest part of the entire movie!!!!

I love that Serge complains about how Axel pronounces his name ("sounds like a detergent" 🤣), yet he pronounces Axel's name "Aquell" 😂

Eddie looks like he's about to break character and laugh all thru out this scene. Lol.

I’ve heard Eddie Murphy talk about his scenes with him in several interviews. The laughs from him are genuine! He has said Bronson Pinchot’s portrayal had him in stitches during the filming. I would almost put money on it he will be in BHC4 when it comes out on Netflix in the near future.

The first meeting was epic. You can tell both Eddie and Bronson were trying to keep a straight face during the entire exchange.

The fact that he can't pronounce Axel's name is hilarious!

I think I've figured out where Serge could be from. He could definitely be Franco Lebanese, and raised in France, which would totally explain his French accent being only ever so slight and funny _ having been tempered by the fact that he would also be a native Arabic speaker (taught by his parents) which would have loosened his tongue, compared to the average French speaking person. I have met a few people who are mixed between Lebanese and French. I think that the actor just channeled a gay, Lebanese descent French guy, so awesome! Love Serge so much, I have lost count to how many times I have watched this lol On an added note, being Portuguese I also love my espresso, and with a little lemon twist too _that's the best cure for a headache btw.

The tape on the VHS was worn thin right when he says “ …with a little lemon twist”. It’s the face, priceless. Bronson is the king of accents

These clips deserve ALL of the attention they’re getting here. I will never hear a bad thing about the 3rd movie bc of his scenes alone!

This is the sweetest memory from these beautiful movies, especially the third one.

His character is not a stereotype because every character he plays he makes an original. This guy is a genius.
