Beverly "Guitar" Watkins 80th Birthday party at the Foundry in Athens, Ga. April 27, 2019 with her Athens stalwarts the Rick Fowler Band (Rick Fowler, Michael Doke, Deane Quinter, Greg Veale, Tim White). These are seasoned musicians that listen and respond to Beverly. Always dynamic and fun, no two shows are the same. She'd been in the hospital and was quite energetic that night. She"s recently suffered a stroke and we're not up to date on her prognosis. All the best to a talented, positive, and engaging musician and member of the community.

Watkins’s latter career was hindered by health issues including cancer, a heart attack and a brain aneurysm, but she never stopped performing. Dance with all you heart

That's actually a Bullet or SE Strat, which is even cheaper than an Affinity, but she made it sound better than my Mexican Fender😂

This song is rolling well. The original version dates back around 1937 by Robert Johnson. Her style sounds similar to Champion Dupree and Magic slim styles, perhaps they all play the same genre "chicago blues".
