He caught my eye when I was 25 yrs old with two young children! Lol.He kind of popped up on my Pinterest today!!!!.I didn't know that he was the opening band at one time for Ted Nugent! He has been on Broadway many times.Sang opera ! He's done it all! ❤❤

Rex still looks great at 66! Always have liked him have his album Forever!❤🎶❤

I looooooved this movie and album when it came out. I think I was 10. He seriously set an archetype into my head of what a smoking hot dude was. And I gotta say, I still think I was right!

@@CamyNolasco so was I! It was a miracle I got to see the show at all, my parents went out for dinner so I got to watch whatever I wanted. By some miracle, I was flipping stations right when it started. I didn’t move a muscle the entire time it was on. My 9 year old self sobbed right along with Jesse while she shoved chocolate cake in her mouth and I even cried myself to sleep when it was over. The absolute worst thing about seeing it was that none of my friends had. There was so much I was desperate to discuss but had no one to talk about it with. Since they hadn’t seen it they just didn’t get it. It was the first time my 9 year old heart really felt broken. Over 20 years ago, while standing in line at a Walgreens next to a bargain bin of dvds, I was just flipping through to kill time and all the sudden there the movie was. It was like, the skies opened up and angels started singing. My heart was racing with excitement -I canceled my plans and sped straight home to watch it for the first time since that night so long ago. I never thought I’d see it again and the rush of euphoria was incredible. I was 9 all over again for an hour and a half (or so), lol, I just had to give my 3 year one of her bday presents early so she’d be distracted and content as well. I moved 3 years ago and it got lost in the move… I’m still kind of pissed about that.

This movie aired on my 13th birthday n that day I got to choose what to watch on TV n of course I chose Rex Smith. My first crush. He became what I would choose as my type of ideal sexy man for the rest of my life. Blue eyed blond men with long hair. It's nice to watch Sooner or Later at 54 n still get those feelings you did at 13. He still makes my heart flutter. Thank you Rex Smith .. for reminding us what innocent love feels like.

@@ED80s You are right, evidently KZread or Forever4Rex deleted it. Forever4Rex had the whole movie on her KZread channel n I had it saved to me. It has been deleted, several months ago I bought the video at Walmart on DVD on line n had it delivered. I rather watch movies on my 60inch TV than my phone. Plus I wanted a copy of the movie for my collection. Fyi the movie with delivery was less than 20 dollars.

When this movie came out I just turned 19 march. 78 I just got out of high school. Those were the days. Now I am 60 been married going on 32 yrs have two sons 35 and 30. I have to grandkids and tired all the time. I so miss the days of being 18 then 19. Rex was so cute love the hair. Also the way he wears that one thick belt. Makes me feel young again to watch this movie. Hope they don't take it off. Been watching alot. Go rex why don't you do on

I remember reading this book and seeing the movie on TV years later. Oh boy. Lol

He is a great guy, still very handsome.

i was 11 years old and watched as they were filming at cross county shopping center, yonkers, ny, in front of gimbels, which became sears, then macy's currently. i was also present when they filmed the scene when rex and the chick were driving down a street. you see a big church at the end. that was my parish st. john the baptist church on yonkers ave and my elementary school right next door. i was on my bike following that car as they filmed. they also filmed at my local park, tibbett's brook park. i was so starstruck at the time. nice memory of my youth and neighborhood.

I loved watching this movie and seeing all the places around Yonkers that were used. I was there at "The Center" that day too!! 😊

Just saw Rex's Confessions of a Teen Idol. I wish he had sang this song. His voice still sounds great after all these years! He was also very gracious to his fans.

Can you tell Rex was singing directly to Denise? Never took his eyes off of her. Exactly like Bruce Springsteen's video of "Dancing In the Dark" where he sang directly to Courtney Cox.

I had the album from the movie and I guess I lost it when I moved I wish I could find the cd

He had such a great career in rock, his first two albums were killer...and then he had to go ruin it with this teen idol stuff. How sad. He was even better than his brother in STARZ - who was another fantastic rock band in the 70's.
