Not only did they make 1 of the best shows of all time...they made 2 of the best shows of all time, back to back, with 2 of the best main characters in television, a prequel that was just ad good if not better than it’s predecessor. That is crazy they deserve all the praise they can get, it’s monumental and something that I don’t think can ever happen again or be done nearly as well!!

I still can't move on from Howard's death. I've seen some spoilers accidentally before even watching the whole series, but it's still the most shocking, gut-wrenching, and heartbreaking death in the BCS-BB franchise. I felt so bad when I slowly began realizing where Saul and Kim's plan was leading. They did this man dirty. By far, the most tragic and undeserved death. I don't know. It felt like a close relative or friend who tragically died, and I still couldn't believe what happened, or maybe because we shared the same birthday. I don't know if that makes sense. I can't help but shed a tear every time I see a video of Howard Hamlin, especially that scene when they showed his and Lalo's corpse sharing a grave or even the actor himself, Patrick Fabian, during some interviews. His character's death felt so real to me in some way. I think I immersed myself deeply into this series and franchise that I've gotten so attached to it and its characters.
Kim was truly one of the best characters out of this whole universe. The writers do such a good job at fleshing out these characters and make them feel like people, not just characters.

I find it kind of symbolic that Lalo and Howard are burried together. On one hand, you have Howard, a lawyer that wants nothing to see but justice be done and good behavior compensated. On the other hand, you have Lalo, a true cold-blooded murderer who lets no one and nothing stands in his way. But we all end up the same way.

Love how Patrick Fabian is literally still in character in presenting this. I´d never seen Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul until a couple of months ago, saw a couple of cool clips on YT (the personal protection scene with Mike) and started watching Better Call Saul first. 2 episodes in and I was hooked, binge watched Better Call Saul the Breaking Bad then El Camino right after each other. If you don't mind me asking what's it like watching bcs first, was there any missing context or spoilers for BB?
@alanwaterworth6464
Жыл бұрын
@@flyingpeanut1031 No, I dont think so. For me, the narrative from BCS developed naturally into BB, rather than been seen in retrospect. The writing is so good, it gives the whole background of Jimmy and how he became Saul, and how that led him to meet Walter, the main characters in BB are referenced in BCS, even with a small cameo appearance from Jesse when Saul first starts his own venture and breaks up with Kim.. as she walks out, he is outside waiting to be seen and asks her if Jimmy/Saul is any good. I didn´t see BB first, as there wasn´t really hype about where I live, (Scandinavia) so only picked up on it from it being briefly mentioned by a couple of friends and pop up clips here on YT. When i´d seen clips of BB on YT previously, it somehow spark my interest as much as BCS did (As I previously mentioned, it was the garage bodyguard hiring scene (Where Mike takes the other guys gun) from BCS that got me interested, as Mike seemed pretty bad ass.

Better Call Saul is the greatest piece of film related media I've ever seen. The best acting, best writing, best cinematography, best directing, best editing. I can't think of anything else that has gripped me like the last season of this show, every episode left me speechless. That sounds like hyperbole to say it's the best ever, but in my opinion, I've seen nothing that even remotely compares. Not even Breaking Bad, which was a masterpiece. Every technique that was mastered along the course of that show is used fully in this one, but also so so subtly. It's a masterwork of a show made by a huge team of incredible artists, all working with a passion and skill that I genuinely believe is unmatched anywhere in this art form. Or, at least, unmatched for this length of a project. There are some incredible films out there, but staying at that level for six seasons of TV show is a staggering achievement.
