Really enjoyed the video. Need to do something similar in the future. A question regarding the filter mesh in the tank, where did you get it? It looks like it came in a cylindrical tube and because it was mesh it was foldable. Thanks

Awesome, how did you glue the quick connect elbows to the overflow hole? Just silicone in a length of 3/4 inch tube to connect the elbow to? I just found about 50 lengths of glass from old louver windows that are the perfect size for betta tanks like this! I'm making something similar i'll see how it goes xD

I dont use any glue, i dripp the hole slightly smaller and just let the sillicone tubing seal it by having a tight fit. In the future i will use a bulkhead

So the imbellis grow out in that little cube . Does not seem like enough room. Seems like it would only be for display.

dont worry, its plenty of space for adults. I even was able to breed them in these little cubes. They are 1 gallon, but the total water volume is much higher because of the extra water from the sump and other containers.

How do you calculate or decide the capacity of pump you will use? I do not know what would happen if there would be a huge difference between outflow and inflow?

You can always build a system that is not close lopped, that is there is an outlet pipe from where the water is pumped. Doing it this way actually increase the flow rate. A close lopped system like mine has a much lower flow rate because there is back pressure. I think i moght answer this question more in depth in the future

@@whocares9049 yes, in this system the piping that pumps the water into the containers is cap at the end and because the only way the water can leave is through the airline tubing there is back pressure up against the pump so the pump is not running efficiently.

I was going to build a rack but know i have professional precision cut plexi 0.22 inch thick enough for 16 8x10 tanks if anyone looking. Nor Cal.

This is permanent set up, its a way for me to keep multiple male betta with clean water and easy water changes.
