    Great video! I like it very much. I see that the container says 1 litre. But that is wrong considering the dimentions. 1 cubic decimeter equals 1 litre. The dimentions on the container is 20x10.2x10.2 centimeters or in decimeters, 2x1.02x1.02= 2.0808 cubiq decimeters or litres🤣 No doubt, because a cube of 10x10x10 cm is one litre. • @TheUrbanFishkeeper

    @TheUrbanFishkeeper

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Antonio, very good question. I have tried that, but found that I could not see what the flow rate was as the drip line was in the water. Some of the bettas don't mind a stronger flow, but found that most preferred the driping water and seemed happier. The other concern I had was that if the pump went off it might create a back syphon and empty the containers causing the sump to overflow and leave the fish with no water. I just syphon the bottoms of the containers once a week or turn the drip line taps on full for 10 minutes and that seems to flush the bottom of the containers clean. Thanks for the question and I appreciate the comment.

    I’m guessing so it’s easy to separate any tanks that need separated or replaced. However I think with using the tube method it would be easier to just place the t connectors and a pipe behind with the tubes connecting straight to the pipe. Since they don’t need glued in I assume it would have a similar concept.

    Did u have to glue the return pipes? The small thin lines above the containers? I attempted this but with soft lines and it leaked everywhere

    Hi, with the rigid as per the video, they screw in and don't need glue. For soft lines you would have to as there would not be a good seal under pressure.

    Hello sir, I am planning to have a similar system at my home. I was just wondering that if all the small taps are closed then it will have a pressure on the water pump as it won't be able to move the water and it will get stuck. What can be done in this situation? I am asking this because let's say I close some of my taps then the pressure might increase inside the pipe which in turn will affect the pump. I am thinking of adding a return pipe somehow which will flow water back into the tank. Do you have any other solution apart from that sir? Correct me if I am wrong.

    Sorry for asking. If we use this system, what about the dirt at the bottom? Does this clean it as well? I never use this system for my betta tank. In my case, almost all of the dirt is at the bottom area. Instead of doing overflow pipe like u did at the side of each tank, can i place the pipe at the bottom?

  • @TheUrbanFishkeeper

    @TheUrbanFishkeeper

    Hi, I just syphon off the dirt at the bottom once a week or open the tap full and it flushes the container. Having the overflow at the bottom would not work on this system.
