Knife looks good, nice blade shape and the micarta is sweet. Would prefer another steel, no problem with D2 if the price is low or a unique design like Begg. Appreciate the review Wayne!

I have the original. I love it. Bestech does a great job with thier D2. But yeah, at that price point, I would prefer to see 14c28n.

I like it. I just don’t know if $65 is justified here with materials. It really should be either better steel or $45

Just got this for $35 off blade binge now that is a good price with D2

Bestech can kill it on knives like this one but why not use 14C28N when they're already using it on other budget knives. Make it make sense Bestech. Bestech is trying and doing great but the decisions on blade steel for different knives come on man

I like the size and shape, change the steel.

I liked it until D2 was shown. Sorry dudes, I've yet to see D2 I actually liked. As much D2 that is out there and as long as it's been in circulation ALL companies should have it down to a science but NOPE. A PROPERLY treated and hardened D2 blade along with a very low drag coating would make me a lot more open to D2. The $65 price is also hurting it. A lot of other companies are offering much better steel at that price. A shame because I like the handle, the clip, the blade style just not the steel.

​@@RobNC-OGD2 is hard to do right in large batches while 14c was made for large production. I don't get why they don't use 14c instead. Steel prices don't vary that much so why not use an easier steel. At least it's not 8cr _shudder_

Made by Barbershop customs in Poland (they have a youtube channel and make some killer knives. but I don't think they are in business anymore unfortunately.) Its a medium sized chopper, slight kukri look to it, with a hollow grind. 5000+ year old bog oak handles and carbon fiber pins. Ive hacked some serious hardwood branches with that thing. Ive batoned logs, stabbed it into tons and tons of logs. Not even the slightest bit of damage, which honestly fucking suprises me. I'm a big guy and I abuse the hell out of tools. I buy cheap boots because no matter the price they last no more than 2 years if I'm lucky. Pandemonium (name of my knife given to it by BSC lol) is made of D2. Best 400 (yes only 400! Was 350 but i wanted a nice leather sheath for it. Whats a fixed blade without a sheath afterall??) bucks I think I've ever spent on something that wasn't a necessity lol. Not all D2 is equal, but 95% of budget knives made of it, are crap. I'm mad their isn't a video of my knife being made on their channel 😂. I've wanted to show it to many people online, but I have no social media (except youtube but I don't use it like social media). Sorry for the random babbling parts lol.

@@lando8913 I have a honey badger knife in 8cr and the thing takes a wicked edge. It surprised me vs. D2 Obviously the 8cr was done better than the D2. If they would just tighten it up a little..

@@JacobE-23 What you are speaking of is not just a regular knife. There was care and attention put into the making of that knife you have. The run of the mill stuff from D2 isn't even in the same universe as your knife. Yes, I would like your knife.. LOL

Sounds like you got a good one. The one I got was a big disappointment. Blade not centered, Up-and-down blade play when deployed, really gritty action, and fitment issues with pivot into the liner. Would NOT recommend!

@@WhuDhat we've all seen worse. But I want to make a prediction and it's a bad one.. in 2024 you are going to see a lot of people unable to afford decent knives. Price increases are going to kill out the "budget" segment.The new "budget" segment will be composed of what we now recognize as the gas station junker knives. These are the golden times folks. What's coming is extreme greed and serious price increases on the knives. I've enjoyed this deep dive into knives but about done. You reach a point where it is just not making sense the price for a certain model with crud steel and sloppy workmanship. Besides, with everything else so high just for essentials- the grocery store, doctor visits, meds, gasoline to drive to work (for more meager pay), and other assorted bending overs will definitely cut a lot of people out of knives. Only the well off people will be able to have decent knives. The rest of us will have to settle for the garbage today that isn't worth $10 but at prices of $60+ Is this insane? Well just look around at everything else that people use to enjoy and what the situation is on those these days- things like hunting, fishing, shooting, archery. Can't afford those "luxuries" now.

I’m a steel snob, there is nothing wrong with D2 lol unless of course your concern is corrosion resistance. If it’s heat treated right it’s a good steel

D2 is good just need to sharpen it down to a lower edge and wipe it off every now and then. For EDC do not want to use it near water or in super humid climate

Why do u reviewers 💩 on some clone companies (ganzo) but ignore this.. d2 $65? Come on that’s a cheap version of the raccoon for more money
