Rare Breed was my first higher-ish proof bourbons, and it is still one of my all time favorites. Easily worth the $48 dollars in my area

Just recently picked up rare breed for 40 bucks at a random Walmart in my area which is Des Moines Iowa and aint got much left, it is as good as people say, now its a tough choice, Do I go with a 36 dollar handle of 101 or spend the extra 4 for a 750 of rare breed?

WT101 is so much bang for the buck, and rare breed is the cheat code for great top shelf whiskey

Both of the single barrel offerings can vary greatly. Really depends on the barrels you got in this blind.

The Single barrel is my all time favorite.

I love Wild Turkey products! The WT 101 is my go-to daily sipper. I really like the Rare Breed, followed by Russell's 10 yr old. I rarely buy Russell's single barrel as I feel it drinks hotter than the higher proof Rare Breed. I don't think I've ever bought a bottle of Kentucky Spirit, but I have tasted it at the distillery. Single barrel bourbons are subjective regarding their flavor, enjoyability and consistency, so I don't drink those regularly. Great review!

Really enjoyed this video. I am a big Wild Turkey fan. I use 101 as a mixer, Rare Bread as daily drinker and Russels SB as a weekend pour.

Love some Rare Breed! Fortunately I've been able to source some WT 101-12 yr. Great stuff!! Now I just need to grab some NCF WT Rare Breed at the duty free!

Love 101, RB and Single Barrel. Haven't tried the other 2 but I'm sure they are solid. Great video brother.

Many people don't know this but, before the turn of the century, Rare Breed had a proof point of 108 while the Kentucky Spirit was at 104. In as far as the Russell's Single Barrel, I really love the deep rich flavor that just goes on for an eternity but, the Rare Breed is an outstanding bottle that's virtually available anywhere, anytime! Great show! Cheers!

I remember that now I've been a fan of the Wild Turkey family for many years and I always thought the Rare Breed was 108 , I' always loved RB no matter but I was not crazy about Spirit as of late and now you've got me wondering because years ago I was crazy about Spirit , considering you know your WT products I wonder if you ever had their Tradition offering which I was lucky enough to get two one I gave to my father,I remember it as being one of the best pours I've ever had.🥃✌️

Great video. Love Wild Turkey. My rankings: 1) Rare Breed, 2) Russell’s Single Barrel, 3) 101, 4) Russell’s 10, 5) Kentucky Spirit. Never liked the Kentucky Spirit - it just tastes off and is overpriced. Rare Breed is the best value in bourbon followed closely by 101.

I might have to visit the WT101 again. So many people like it so much and the bottle I had I found to be so-so at best. I have only had 3 of these and I would put them in the order of RR10, RB, and WT101 and it is not even a close call.

Love Rare Breed and 101. Haven't pulled the trigger yet on Russell's SB reserve but that is going to be my next WT purchase

I wonder how the Russells 10 would have done with an older bottle. I agree with the rankings overall. You can’t go wrong with Wild Turkey. Sad to see how their prices have gone crazy for some products.

I’m new to bourbon and I really enjoy the Russell’s 10 year as an everyday sipper, I have a 101 also, I’ll try that after my 10 year is gone. 😁

I enjoy the 10yr alot,the lower proof doesn't bother me. I also like the original WT,sometimes that goes into my coffee on the weekends. Cheers.

Russel's Single Barrel, especially the store picks, are probably my #1 bourbon, period. Rare Breed is close. Both are top 5 of all bourbons for me. Other favorites in that top 5 are Four Roses SB (and the barrel proof version as well), Weller Full Proof, and 1792 12-year.

101 is $19.99 in my area. It's a great price for a quality sipper without breaking the bank. 101 always seems to punch above its price point in everyone's taste tests ... and I agree.

That's a damn fine buy! It's now $27.99 in VA, which is... *sigh* quite a bit annoying.

I want to love Russell’s 10 - but the low proof hurts it. My go to everyday sipper is 101 and I love me some Rare Breed…both are currently on the shelf. WT is my favorite distillery overall - the Russell’s just know how to make great bourbon. PERIOD!

Im a big Wild Turkey fan and I do have each of those bottles except for the Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel and the Rare Breed is by far my favorite. The one thing with the W/T line-up is that they all except for the 101 keep going up in price the rare breed has gone up $4 ($48-$52) I actually went to buy a bottle of Rare Breed and when I saw the increase in price and noticed the good old trusty 101 was still the same price it's been forever I bought the 101 out of spite or anger whatever you want to call it? I dont dink bourbon neat and they all taste good in an old fashioned, or if you let it sit for a while with a 2" ice cube! 🥃Cheers!

The 101 is great. I bought a bottle of Eagles Rare for $50 and it’s doesn’t taste never as good. WT is so much sweeter. I think that all the high price bourbon is just bullshit just like the media. 😎

I think the 10-year's last place finish highlights that age isn't everything. Sometimes we get too hung up on age, when it is only one ingredient or factor in the overall experience. I bought a 10-yr recently but I find I am not reaching for it, going for 101 and RR SiB instead. That's why I'm not too bothered by ECBP eliminating their 12-year age statement. I have had some 9-yr ECBP picks that were phenomenal. It all comes down to, "Find a bottle you love."

The Russells single barrel is my number 1 currently. Haven’t had a bottle that I thought was anything less than spectacular

I pour a little Russell's 10 year, rather than water, into my pour of Rare Breed to mellow it a bit.

The 101 is a great go to , but I prefer the RB it’s my everyday any day bourbon 🥃

I'm enjoying Wild Turkey 101 Rye as I write. I've had Russell's 10 and was impressed.... but that said I'm not experienced with Bourbon though I like Old Forester 1910 and Woodford Bouble Bourbon..

We can't get Rare Breed in South Georgia (Savannah) anymore. Just don't get it but I love them all !

Funny thing about your tasting notes. If I KNOW I am sipping Turkey/Russell's I NEVER get peanut.... when I DON'T know I am drinking it, I almost always get peanut! Cheers buddy

I would have the same reaults too 😂. Don't really care for the RR10, just boring & thin. The RR single barrels/store picks are great though & must have if you're a fan of WT.

No Longbranch? The first bottle I had wasn’t all that great, but the second was surprisingly good.

When it comes to WT i'm a bit against the masses. I'm not a fan at all of 101 or 10 year and RB is just ok. Would rather have 1920 or KC 120proof etc. I have had some real good SiB and KS so those can be real good but as you said with single barrels they can be hit or miss. Great blind though!! That RB easily stands out against all the others because of the proof difference for sure.

That’s exactly how I rank these 5 bottles. KY spirit is the most expensive bottle in the lineup and it’s almost the worst in the bunch. Rare breed is the king 🔥

I'm finding my bottle of Kentucky Spirit disappearing the quickest of WT101, Rare Breed and KS.

12 year is the best hands down. Unfortunately it does not check the box for “available” 12 yr is better than any masterkeep I’ve had

If Wild Turkey upped the proof on Russell’s 10yr to 100 or 101, it would destroy Eagle Rare. I always wondered why they would put out a product with almost the same specs on paper (10yr @ 90proof), why not go above & beyond?

I've heard The Rare Breed bourbon is the best of the Rare Breeds.... but as much as I like the Wild Turkey 101 Rye..... is The Rare Breed Rye worth trying?

YES. Rare breed rye is amazing, much more complex than the 101 rye.

Rare Breed and RR SiB are head and shoulders above the rest. SiB is just luck of the draw if it's better than Rare Breed or not. Kentucky Spirit used to be in the running when it had the pretty bottle, they should never have killed that. Now I see no reason to buy it. 101 is such a bargain, I always have it around. Heading to Canada next week. Buffalo duty free has Rare Breed for $30!!!!!!!!! You know what I'm buying.

Pretty consistent with my opinions too, that Russells is overrated and Rare Breed is the best of all of them, and 101 is a best buy.

Rare Breed all day then the 101.

Not surprised RR 10yr lack of proof just makes it meh.
