2hrs later and $150 on the hot water bill, all the pads are clean.

It's funny how, despite my intellect, I have to KZread everything I do to make sure that I am doing it the proper way.

This is how I always wash my pads, however, I found it's easier to rinse them with a bucket of clean water or the other side of the sink (plugged and filled with clean water). You hold the palmolive-saturdated pad under the clean water and squeeze it several times and it rinses much faster this way instead of having running water hitting it. Just my experience.

?? The first time I used my polisher over the last month that is exactly what I did with every pad I've used. I imagine at least 50-70% people would do the same. .... In my amateur, unsolicited, very clean living opinion, lol. Also, you as a professional, since you would do it so often, you may wish to be mindful of what the compound is doing in the plumbing. I guarantee if you pull your U-trap out it has a deposit building up. peace

Great video, but it seems you’re using a swimming pool amount of water, for each pad. Anyway, thanks for the vid. 🇨🇦👍🏼

You read my mind I washed all of my pads it's the same way. The microfiber pads that I use for the compound washes out right away I only use the soap to get the little bit of residue. Those Griot's Garage pads wash like a dream. I love them so much. Thank you for not making it rocket science to wash a pad. Thats all you have to do and let them air dry overnight.

Palmolive softens your hands while you do the dishes. Madge--"You're soaking in it", ha!

it’s very much disturbing how much water is wasted when you leave the tap open.

If you want to use dawn just finish the last rinse with cold water and that will stop the soap from sudsing up and flush it out if the pad real quick like.

Way more simple than I expected! Everyone wants to sell a product for this and for that and it gets costly. Simple and cost effective. Thanks Scott!

Scott that wasn’t boring. Very informative and way less complicated than other videos posted by companies trying to flog their wares. Great info for me as a beginner paint corrector. Thanks.

I have learned sooo much from Scott just in the last few months. I have always been a gear head, but always been terrible at keeping my cars and trucks tip top. Keep the good content coming.

I'm a newbie to polishing and waxing my boat. I finished a day of compounding and waxing and was wondering if I could clean these pads. I watched other videos which seemed too complicated or expensive. Using your method, I now have clean reusable pads and it only took me a few minutes to do all three including the wool cutting pad. Thank you so much for sharing this simple, gentle and effective method. I'll go watch your other videos now.

This is by far the best way to clean pads. Not only doses it clean the pads thoroughly, it actually makes the bad a bit more flexible. I’ve washed my pads like this and gotten a ton of use out of one pad.
