Really a great pair!

I have their Longwing in the Horween Dune (natural) leather. I love all the leather under foot. The upper leather is very pale and as it tans from sunlight and wear, the different hues of brown and amber come in beautifully. The craftsmanship and amount of detail is amazing with the brogue. I have a low volume foot, so I will definitely be going down a whole size in this boot in the same leather as the Longwing. When I decide on a black boot, it’ll probably be this model or the Redwing Blacksmith in Black prairie. Or probably both. 😊 Leather boots and jackets are such a fun hobby. Thanks for the review.

I have the black Brass boot and the Diesel Crimson CXL. I love both my boots. IMO, I’m paying for a good quality boot that will last a very long time. Looking to buy another pair of Diesels soon.

Nice! The diesels do seem like a good everything boot. I think if I get another pair from Grant Stone I’d like to go for the long wing bluchers

I have several pairs of Grant Stone, love the diesel and the Ottawa boots. I have been hesitant about getting the brass boot because of the size issues. I am planning to go to the next stitchdown boot camp in nyc in 2024 and plan on trying them on to nail the fit. I love the commando soles, I find the extra thickness to be very comfortable on my feet and I am happy that the black brass boot comes with a commando sole. Great video by the way.

When I told Grant stone my size in the Red Wing Iron ranger which is US 9.5 EE width they sold to go for a size US 9.5 in their triple E width

What did you mean by the pull up effect is not so apparent?

When you pull “pull up” leather a lighter tone shows due to the oils waxes etc going under tension. But for black it’s less apparent
