**Correction: I somehow got the Epson LS300 input lag results mixed up with the LS500. The input lag on the LS300 was actually 52ms so its gaming score should be lowered. I apologize for the mix-up. Thank you bullwinkleman for pointing this out.

On another note, unfortunately, the retailer forgot to send the screen, so now I've got the headache of going back and forth with them to get the screen. 🤦🏽‍♂Looking forward to setting this thing up.

Hey Chris, your videos are amazing and so detailed excellent job!!. I am kind of little lost on choosing right projector. I used Xgimi holo my first projector and then huge upgrade with VAVA 4K Laser now thinking to shift since I feel vava not satisfactory with my needs . I use to project on wall and between 150 to 200 or more so I feel my image is little dim and on action movies the motion is bit disturbing. So please suggest best UST projector under budget $2500. On my mind 1. Xgimi Aura 2. Optoma x p2 3. Samsung premier and Interestingly I my focus more on Bomaker 4K as it has more features and coming under 1800$ not sure if it’s good choice or not. Please suggest and thank you .

I've got my eye on the below. Only good if you get in early, which is a gamble but 3500 lumens, DLP, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. They are also making a cheaper model (2500, 2000 lumens) but no mention of HDR10+ or Dolby Vision support on the lower end model. Awol’s website lists the LTV-3500 as being priced at $5,999, however it’s currently being listed for $3,299 for a limited time via the campaign. That’s more expensive than the Vava 4K laser projector priced at $2,799 but cheaper than Samsung’s Premiere LSP9T which comes in at a staggering $6,499. I'm interested in the AWOL LTV 3500 as it will support Dolby Vision. It just started shipping and new brands but I've had nothing but great purchasing experiences with the vendor they chose to partner with. Tri-Chroma Laser 12"80" (80"-150", 3500 lumens, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision *with a firmware update, DLP,. 107% Rec.2020 143% DCI-P3. Dolby ATMOS. Virtual X, eARC, 3 HDMI 2.0b ports. The chip used is only capable of 4K60hz so 2.1 would be pointless. It also comes with a comparmant with a fire tv stick with USB power which is smart, even though I'm personally not a fan of fire tv. It beats most displays built in smart apps. Game 30 ms, MEMC 36W Speakers. In addition they sell an optional UST screen and cabinet although I'm positive that the cabinet has to be very pricey (yup , 2.4000, neat but not that neat). While it is just coming out, and from a company I have never heard of, I would typically be very skeptical, although bringhtness and color accuracy has been confirmed and they have partnered with projectoscreen.com . I purchased my Optoma P1 and Grandview Dymanique UST screen and it was a great purchasing experience with a large discount on the UST screen in a combo, they also gave me six months to purchase the screen at that same discount. At the time I was having more issues deciding on a screen so I sent them an email. Brian, there head PJ guy and I talked for 45 minites about differences in screens, why they didn't carry some of the cheaper brands due to quality control issues and didn't push me toward SI or any other high end screens in fact he drove me away from them saying how much is that extra 5 to maybe 8 percent ALR rejection was worth to me and he was right. The Grandview was the perfect choice. The fact that he paired it with the LG over SI made the decision pretty easy. I had a minor issue with the grand iew fabric. Slight imperfections which on a UST screen is super noticable. One email and their was new fabric delivered in 3 days. Didn't even have to return the defective fabric so extremely customer support oriented. I am in no way affiliated with them but a good vendor is a good vendor and I will always give them props when it is deserved. www.projectorscreen.com/AWOL-Vision kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioGX2dyFgZfbdZc.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZer0tJvltK4p5c.html global.techradar.com/en-ae/reviews/awol-ltv-3500-projector

Thank you for the video! I follow you from a while, and I gues I still did not see any more sepcific details about the projectors noise (out of your subjective impression “more loud” or “less loud” in other videos of yours). In big towns, and especially in Europe, towns have space problems, and our living rooms can be small. In a small/normal living room (13-18 m2), the noise of a projector can bother not only very noise sensitive persons like I am. It would be nice to hear more tech details about the noise of every ultrashort projector or projector you review. Thank you again.

I always wonder why there's built-in speaker on projector. most TV users don't buy soundbar or speakers of course it's logical to have built-in speaker. But you don't buy a $4000 projector if you don't have at least a 5.1 set-up at home. they could cut cost on audio and improve other things.

My biggest gripe with Optoma P2 is their clunky menu system and the lack of full HDMI CEC integration. I am not able to control projector volume from my Chromecast remote. So, stuck with two remotes. Not sure how others are handling this situation.😞

I managed to get the optoma p2 for the budget category of 2200. The only odd thing is that occasionally the power would shut down on its own two or three times consistently unless I unplug and re plug cable, but my theory is that for that time I had it plugged to an external source rather than to the wall or single extension cable.

Sounds like it's a power or heat related issue.

@@ChrisMajestic oveheating is unlikely since it did it when I just start booting up at some point. So far haven't had the issue as of late, probably just gota keep the projector getting power from single source and avoid plugging with other devices.

Been waiting for a review like this, but I'm interested in how these UST's compare with current long throws, performance and value wise. UST's seem like a promising category but are still a bit pricey. Maybe you could do a future shootout /comparison after you receive the Hisense PX1 Pro? (The UST's kind of remind me of the old one-piece (3 tube) projectors).

Agree with this! I have a from that could do either UST or short/medium throw so I’m curious what might be best all UST specialized benefits/cons aside - actual picture quality.

UST should be better because they're using laser technology instead of lamps and they are closer to the screen

Great video :) Chris If you were to choose a projector screen for epson ls 500 in a dark room...what would you pick? Is there any reason to go for ambient light rejecting screen? (better contrast?= or a white screen with some gain?. Thx for great content! :)

Ambient light rejecting is good for a multipurpose room such as a living room. If you're putting it in a dedicated home theater there is not much reason to go with one.

A question about the L9G ALR screen, do you think it is easy to install or even move? my situation is that I am moving around and would need to move all the projector and screens, etc. The projector is fine, but how about the screen, I am worrying that moving and reinstalling brings as much inconvenience as a large TV does.
