Infact what I have seen is slippages are usually 2% without considering brokerage and other costs... I will be very surprised if real returns are anywhere close to what backtesting results show....huge variation in returns if you change the slippage from 0.5% to 2%

Hi sir , I just wanted to know about the brokerage. Is brokerage and other charges included in back testing? As upstox and other broker charge 40 as brokerage fee and extra other charges so I just wanted to know if the brokerage is added or not in the strategy.

Backtesting ideally does not add brokerages. You need to add them over and above the result you get based on your slippages assumed..

My dear friend. Start automate trade from stockmock as early. You are doing great work for retail/small option traders. He know what to do & when to do by stockmock, but can not be able to do with automate like big traders. I used algotest but its not work perfactly. Its generate entry trade perfactly, but not generating stoploss limit order at the time entry time, so slippage very high.. almost double some times more than that. So stop use it. & start with zerodha & kotak sec. Plz

If you want to trade in directions then you have to trade in volume and do scalping. If you think your 20 k money become large capital thats not gona happen. Either you go for short on lot in nifty. Shorting is only way to earn money.
