I got one for my hellcat, i also have an alarm, 2 kill switches, 2 air tags, and a neutral plate cover. Anything is possible if theives wanted to take it they can. The point is to make it not worth their time that way they can move on to another car thats easier to steal. If my alarm goes off they still have to get past the first kill switch with a pin code, after that they have to find a hidden kill switch i hid somewhere in the car, if they try to push the car they would have to have the right tools to remove my neutral cover plate, if they some how can get the car to roll now they have to get past the steering wheel lock, if they manage to do everything or tow the car, i can track it. Point is, if they struggle for a few seconds they're more than likely to leave.

I've seen a lot of those get cut. It's basically a bicycle lock.

It’s all about making it harder for the crooks to steal your car. But if they are determined, they WILL take it.

People you have to think most car thieves want simple they don't carry tools like hacksaws and drills the get into your computer system start your car and gone. most thieves when they see your car somewhere it's spontaneous. so it's just a good deteriant for thieves that's all. What about the 2 wires that connect to the cars seatbelt socket . I guess the connection can easily be broken there ?

It also helps to take the time n pull out the ignition relay.. yea it’s annoying to do that all the time but it beats waking up or going back to the parking spot and not finding ur car.. car thieves don’t carry relays.. ther videos on this device wer it gets cut with simple bolt cutters.. look it up

You can cut through that in less than 30 seconds with even the cheapest pair of side cutters.

I couldn’t; in fact it was hard to cut through the plastic cable cover with my cheap side cutters. Might be able to do it with an expensive side cutters

I like that it’s easy to store when not in use & unlike a long bar it can’t be used as leverage to break the integral lock (which isn’t so important now with stupid scannable remote keys) The trouble with this is bolt croppers can go through it so they will simply carry a pair on the night they decide to take your car. The cheap locks are very easy to drill out & the ones that go to the pedals often get removed by forcing the wheel down & pulling the lock up against the pedal..pedals are also usually bolted on so can be unbolted easy if they know the car. Stop lock are good but they just cut 2 cuts in my steering wheel & took it off so I had extra damage. The upgraded stop lock has bars that go round the wheel instead of the clamp & them round the spokes of the wheel defiantly slows thieves. The best I have seen is where the foldable L shaped bars go over the wheel then onto the dash with one arm over the horn area.a couple of them have drill resistant designs & can’t be used as levers to break the integral lock & fold up small for storage..about £100

Please, in the info you talked about above in your comment, can you please provide links or a picture? Please? I'm really interested in looking up the products you are referring. I did try by copying your words but was not successful at all. I thank you in advance if your able to help me out. Too many cars being stolen around here and I really want to try to layer on the anti theft products. Fair warning: Read the reviews. This thing gets stuck BAD. Search the word "stuck" in the reviews and you'll see. I just had to spend a considerable amount of time helping someone to get the darn thing off.

We live in a pretty good neighborhood. But my wife starts her car and goes back in the house and it always makes me nervous in the winter. Most crimes are about opportunity and I doubt someone has a cable cutter on them. so this thing is better than nothing......

I had one of these on my steering wheel and the punk STILL broke me window out. Luckily that's all that happened.

These systems aren’t perfect but they are a deterrent and helpful. If someone really wants your vehicle they will get it but this helps. Get a Faraday key holder and one of these and it should deter most thieves.

Add Carlock. Works on ANY OBD equipped vehicle.

These are easily bypassable just like the club. Thieves can easily cut the steering wheel with some snipers.

A simple power drill can drill down and push the red button to release it easily. Doesn’t have to drill where the key goes in to push it. But anywhere on top of that case. This is the most unsafe an easiest device to break through, but the newest… so being new makes it a challenge. But once you get it, it’s too easy.

The club was cut right out of my car and the steel was much thicker than this.

This cable lock will definitely deter a 10 year old

They can easy cut the actual steering wheel.

A cable cutters could cut right through cable like butter. It's like not even having a lock. Never get a lock for car or bike that's a cable. Thieves carry these cutters in their kits

I love mine... I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left the attach the wheel lock. They really can't go anywhere but into the next car.

to save a few people… it doesnt work on older style seatbelts that click on the side (like in my 1995 Ford F-150). you need to have the classic red top button style seatbelts. nice product nonetheless.

How long will a cordless cutoff wheel take?

People saying a thief will take it if they really want... but like, I don't park my car outside my house at night; it's in the garage. The other times my car is out it's when I'm eating. So it's not like a random person going to where I'm at is going to have all the tools to steal my car randomly. They usually hunt late at night with nobody around.

For the price it's cheap "peace of mind" but no way is it going to stop anyone other than a teenage joyrider and it might not even stop them. Cutting the seat belt is pretty easy with a pocket knife or "seat belt cutters." I do agree that it's more convenient then "The Club."

Your steering wheel can be cut and thats the easiest way to make this and most clubs pointless. But if they dont have a wireless saw....it should deter bad thiefs.

I had this steering wheel lock on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler, but thieves force the lock with a drill or another apparatus and left it in my driveway before leaving with my Jeep.

AND just like the "other device" that this idea was ripped off of, it takes a total of .50cents to beat this setup, a simple jig saw blade from any local hardware store, to cut through the steering wheel not the lock or chain itself, allows you to slip the lock through the gap in the steering wheel, and then drive away.

If somebody wants to steal your car, they definitely will figure it out. I don’t know how many peoples cars have cloth on their seatbelt, but mine does not is connected by a metal bar but like we all know if somebody wants to steal your car, they will but like multiple people have said the point is to make it harder Because most car thieves aren’t just carrying around a bunch of tools for random cars. Most of them just have a screwdriver and something to break your window. I know from experience because somebody broke my back window two days ago broke my steering column and my ignition couldn’t steal the car because I had just bought it and was putting a new battery in it so it didn’t have a battery in it at the time, but there were five other cars that got stolen in the same apartment Complex, more of the story if they want they will get it. The point is to just make it harder. No one is carrying around tons of tools prepared for anything they’re going for the easiest thing.

Unfortunately with a good metal blade and a portable sawzall or angle grinder this can be defeated in seconds! Just cut through the steering wheel and once a "splice" is made you can bend the steering wheel to allow this to slip past the cut you just made. Then drive away! I dont think the inner "ring" under all the plastic or leather on a typical steering wheel is more then 3/8-1/2" thick which can be cut through in 10-20seconds LIke any anit-theft device it makes it HARDER and more difficult to steal and if said thief isn't walking around with power tools and just a slim gym and some other basic stuff to steal a car then this will help. Often when thieves see a car with Alarm warnings, CLub, Brake locking device etc they just go to the next easier target. SAme with Ebikes, but like anything IF they want it bad enough (Think Stealing a ROlls Phantom) they'll steal it!!

Yes, totally do it. My car was stolen with a relay attack, my husband's truck was ransacked without damage to the door or window. My neighbor's three cars were all entered without damage - we all this in common: our key fobs were near the door or front of the house. Now my keys are in a thick metal fish steamer toward the back of the house.

I think people will only prepare all those tools and situation for very high-end car. Nobody’s just carrying that stuff around to steal a Hyundai or a Toyota or a Kia lol no way most people have the basic carjacking tools if they have all that stuff and they have plannedand took time to stake out that car

if they do come prepared then they were following your routine. most people with muscle cars dont have a routine to become an easy target and most of the professionals are going after the top rated sports cars not no damn kia. kids and stupid crack heads are the ones taking those low end cars and those types of thief’s don’t usually show up prepared

If a thief really wants your car and they have the technical expertise to do so, there is no device that can stop them. If they can’t figure it out they can just flatbed your car to their shop… This will keep the dumb criminals away though. 👍🏾!

That's a pretty cool deterrent, but it can be circumvented in the same way as The Club. Just cutting through the steering wheel is all it takes. 🫤 Definitely better than nothing though.

Well, it saved my neighbors truck from getting stolen last night. Unfortunately, that same night, my uncles truck was stolen a couple of blocks away.
