  I have a stihl bg 86 like yours and a john deere 4 stroke and I cant even tell u how old the john deere is but never had any issues with it and my stihl equipment is 3 years old been serviced several times carb problems and I don't use ethnol gas and I don't use that man mad junk 20 bucks a gallon crap real ethnol free gas id never buy still products again

  It's said Tar-Gee, the G is hard. Named after the Targhee National forest, it's known for being the "other" side of the Tetons. It extends north and south along moof Idaho and Wyoming's boarder. There is also Grand Targhee ski resort right near the Wyoming Idaho border.

  The older shindaiwas are way better than stihl. Problem is shinDaiwa parts are obsolete. My 270 ran for over twenty years without a problem. New shindaiwas are junk!

  Thank you. I just bought my first Stihl weedeater and have 20 hours on it. Ive been hearing some rattling metalic noise from the head that has been concerning. I will grease it tomorrow.

  I have 3 Stihl trimmers and all the owners manuals show the grease port in the head. The new Stihl and Echo trimmers don't have the grease port in the head anymore. Stop yelling, that's annoying as he**.

  I have an older FS40 Trimmer that was hard to start, if started, so I purchased a Carburetor, luckily it was for a newer model, and I returned it. I removed the Spark Arrestor, put fire to it, removed the carbon deposit, and now it runs like a champ. I did have to adjust the idle control screw to eliminate the staling when the trigger was released. Not often does one find a DIY Video that is entertaining and informative. Thank you...

  I don't get what's hidden about the gear grease hole. Some guy wrote in the comments that there is not a single word about it in the manual. I own a Stihl FS65-4 and it clearly says to take of the screw, screw in the tube and press the grease inside. Even if it's not in the manual, it's not difficult to understand what's that hole for.

  The real reason they use a mix of oil and gas is because if they didn't they would have a reservoir of oil retained inside the engine and if you tilted it to the side to trim it could cause major damage from lack of oil.
