What a spring Perry Alabaster has experienced on the Monks Pit syndicate in Cambridgeshire, recording many multiple-fish hauls and landing a number of big fish to more than 50lb along the way!
Of course, we wanted to get involved in Perry’s purple patch and learn how he’s putting these Monks Pit carp to the sword, so we headed over to Huntingdon to get a taste of Perry’s methods, his baiting approach and his general philosophy as to why he has enjoyed such an incredible spring.
Perry is one of the real nice guys of the carp-fishing scene and knows a thing or two about catching big carp from the nation’s circuit waters, having recorded his 60th different 40lb-plus fish as part of this purple patch - and he his showing no signs of slowing down!
In this piece, you’ll see Perry utilising some of his very favourite products in the DNA range, notably the Crayfish pellets and Secret 7 boilies, and the very newest addition, a product Perry feels has already added a new dimension to his angling, the S7 Amino Smoke.
