Ny neibor came home from church and parked under a apple tree on the edge of her driveway and when she shut the door the tree started shaking she ran into het garage and turned the lights on there was a ma bear and two cubs in the tree they had some dwarf trees and after that nite the bears tore two of the trees to bits so they picked all the other apples early to stop them all but the big tree they were in the first nite
Where I used to live at one time they said we had the highest density of black bears in the lower 48 I don't know if that still holds but it's in WV and in kanawha Co on the edge of boon co but one nite my wife was on my porch and came in mad saying the bears ran her in the house I got my 44 and walked around the yard and I heard two run out over the hill that was on the edge of our yard so I walked around the back and on the corner and there was a bear less then 6 feet from me I turned my light on and it was looking rite down it's throat as it made that chuckle growl and before I knew it I had shot it rite dead center of it's chest it turned and ran about 25 yards breaking small brush as it went then I heard the moan the next day it a good one I'm allergic to bears and a few other animals so a friend got the meat I had the DNRs bear trap in my yard and drive way and they would take it away amd thete tjey would ne
