Best Spot to find crappie all year on New Lakes (Lake Sam Rayburn ep. 2)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Struggling to find crappie on new lakes? Start by fishing confidence spots. These are locations like bridges and docks that will hold crappie year round. When I travel to fish a new lake, I start fishing in these locations because i know crappie live there, but more importantly the fish in these areas will give clues on where to find more fish throughout the lake. Some clues are water depth (where are the fish suspending), lure color and profile (are they biting on minnow or insect lure patterns), and are they holding to cover or out in open water (during the fall and winter months some school may hold tight to brush and trees, while other crappie suspend in the middle of creek channels).

I'll be going to Sam Rayburn this coming week 9th thru the 12th or 13th but it's on the south end I fish out of my kayak Hobie Cat Pro Angler 14 180 Drive Kayak and I'd rather fish that bridge and this trees. Thanks and great fishing to ya brother. I'm subscribing as well. Thanks

    I think it makes anglers who want to understand fish better students of fishing, however anglers who don't want to learn what forward sonar is telling you will became lazy and over reliant on it. I think the more people that use this type of sonar, we have to careful on when we target larger fish, as it will affect the population.

    @@FloppingCrappie man that makes lot of sense. I don't know I would love to have one, but I think it's making things to easy gone are the days when you work your tail off only to catch a few fish that send you home stumped and wondering what you did wrong. I believe with these unit you can not be skunked if the fish aren't biting you can move and find active fish. Just my thoughts I'm not knocking it or you Brother. Great info Thanks

Both units through a garmin network hub share livescope and a GT56 transducer. Are you happy with your Gpsmap 102 unit? Do you wish you went with the Gpsmap 1222? Or is the 1022 plenty big? Your videos started popping up in my feed and I have watched a decent handful.. I like your presentation with the fish finder on the screen and some pretty decent advice on fishing. The only reason I have not subscribed is because of your complaining. You are getting to travel to premiere spots in the country,, in a boat and gear that is obviously top of the line,,, catching what I would call,,, and I would dare to say 99.999% of the people watching would call, absolutely beautiful fish that anyone could be proud of,,, in areas that is breath takingly beautiful and I hear nothing but complaining... Im sure I dont have to explain what that makes you look like to an observer like me. At least you admit you need to stop complaining.. But I would bet because you have 48K subscribers, you will ignore constructive criticism

  • @FloppingCrappie

    @FloppingCrappie

    2 жыл бұрын

    Well like you said, I admit in video I need to stop complaining, which is valid criticism. I try my best demonstrate and show the process of finding fish when I travel to lakes thousands of miles away from my home. I've seen a number of comments on this video requesting more 2d, DI and SI sonar videos as most anglers seem to have that type of electronics on their boat. I did take note of this and will strive in future videos to show the fish finding process with these electronics. The last line in your comment "...because you have 48k subscribers, you don't listen to constructive criticism " came off as a bit condescending. I listen to my audience and the type of videos they request, and I try my best to film those type of videos. Whether or not you choose to subscribe is up to you, but I do take the criticism of complaining when traveling to premier lakes as valid and will try to change going forward.
