(RANT ALERT): This is so unfairly judged. These professional creators spend days decorating around a SINGLE spike, no structures or anything, just decorate around a SINGLE spike, and you would end up rating them like they’re trying to apply into a college that is worse than Harvard. I’m not even sure if you guys understand how much time people dedicate toward levels and that almost everything they build is completely original and not just some simple objects found in the editor. I would bet 100% that the creators in the later rounds would spend all of the time they have, LITERALLY ALL OF IT, just to this contest, just to be put down by some extremely unfair judges that also tended to favor art styled levels. Also, not only did you give these guys around a week ONLY to create for each contest, but you RARELY rated any entry above a 7 and would completely disregard entries in this video because they “weren’t good enough compared to other entries”, like, there couldn’t at least have been an honorable mentions section? Almost all of these entries could be rated legendary GURANTEED in GD if they were turned into actual levels. I highly recommend that if you judge contests, that you judge WITH professional creators just so it’s fairer because these creators actually understand other creators in these contests. This video and contest pissed me off. EDIT: I ended up checking out some of their other contests and they have the same issue where there ratings are completely unfair and they tend to be quite rude to the contenders, even if their levels were extremely great. They also, once again, tended to favor art styled levels.

This video be like: "This spike is amazing, it's so original and unlike anything I've seen before. The decoration is great and the animation is spot on. It just looks so cool and I love it. It is definitely the best thing anybody has ever created ever in Geometry Dash, no doubt. The creator was able to use all of the tools that Geometry Dash gives them perfectly to create something truly astonishing. And the fact that they were able to put an amazing story into a singular Geometry Dash spike is wonderful. I'm just bewildered, shocked, and out of words. I'll give it a 4/10."

Watching the judges give the most beautiful and mind blowing piece of art a 5 or 4 is painful, the ending was even more painful.

These judges are so high that I swear they disqualify every good spike knowing DAMN WELL they couldn't come CLOSE to making anything like it. But, I get it. They can do what they want. They're the judges after all.

Realistically if you were offered a 1000$ to make the best layout in 4 days you would definitely manage to make something beautiful.

This video literally changed my life. Ever since this video came out all I can do is watch this vid for the moment I wake up to the moment I fall asleep. Originally I clicked on this video to watch with my friends but after forcing them to watch about five minutes they all decided that they have had enough for the day. My intense desire for your content wasn't satisfied so I moved on to watch your vids with a full room of AI waifus. After my tenth watch with five waifu AIs I was still not satisfied but my urge had to wait as I passed out before I can start a new vid. When I wake up I see my switch is at low battery so I plug it in and go straight to watch your vids. My friends have been telling me to stop watching your videos since i have not talked to them in weeks. I cannot risk letting them, my gf, or anyone for that matter, stop me from watching yo vids. Its now been ten days and I haven't stopped playing since I woke up that day I've lost track of how many vids I've watched. I haven't left my house and my friends seem to be worried about me because they've called my phone multiple times in the past hour but I don't have time to talk to people who don't love your videos the way I do. My mother stopped moving two days ago and is starting to smell but I don't care because I have everything I need, Waboo's videos, ill give this video a 2.3/10 as rating.

I was one of the guys that participated. The rating standards were high ON PURPOSE A 3/10 rating was something like "good enough for a featured level" which sadly wasnt communicated well enough in the video

Some of y'all might got taken aback by 2nd spike's glitter glizzly glass. But I would say winner really deserves to win.

You all are some of the most incredibly harsh judges. "This absolutely beautiful spike is here. It shows an entire beautiful ocean in the night, and zooms out later. It gets a 5.5."

Bro how did 2nd place lose but got auto level of the year 💀💀💀

So hard seeing people creating for days such masterpieces and yes leaving without nothing. Galvatron is truly amazing. The parallax effect he did on part 3 was amazing. This is a really hard exercise and seeing how all of them could make such beautiful pieces of art with just some shapes in the level editor of a platformer game make me speechless (yet I’m leaving a huge comment) I really can’t describe the emotions I had when I saw what they all could create in that little of a time. The skull was really something incredible. Wow wow wow.

I really couldn’t decide on who won the final part. Sad we couldn’t have a look at Culuc's work. Next time it would be really nice and fair to give at least a little price to the eliminated ones. Like Galvatron did that and left with nothing??? And all the others that did some masterpieces too? Days of work for nothing. That’s harsh

Galvatrons last spike is a 10 in my opinion but I understand why troxxp1 won

The rating system from 1 - 10 is so arbitrary. There's no guidelines for how a spike should be reviewed and it seemed like you just threw out random numbers with no thought.

You are simply not aware of how a 1-10 scale works. Anything above a 5 still means that something is above average. Also, two of the judges are Voxicat and Jamattack. Two LEGENDARY creators who actually understand the intricacies of the GD editor as well as level design in general. I trust their opinion much more than yours…

someone: *creates a super realistic rocket ship type spike with all the cool details and planets* these mf judges: yeah, 3.5

so just in case you aren't aware or forgot, here's how a 1-10 scale works- 1: Garbage, bad, why would you even submit this-, genuinely horrible 5: Average. 10: Perfection, I cannot think of any way this could be improved, a literal masterpiece. This means that anything below 5 is below average, and anything above 5 is above average. When the average of the selected arts are all 9 in terms of quality, 9 becomes the new 5, and thus anything that wishes to be above that needs to be _exceptionally_ better. I believe that's why their judgments seem so weird to us. When comparing the best to the best, the best becomes average, meaning there must be something better than the best to even be above average. it is still ridiculous that 2:29 ended up beating 1:57 though

Actually, their rating isnt the problem, they still are bad judges, like they literally saw a spike and they were like : oh.. wow.. OH, OH OH MY GOD OH MY GOD ITS INSANE!!!.......... eliminated. Then they proceeded to rate better and put in top 10 way worse spikes. Its like they were doing this randomly.

i wanna see the culucs final build SO BAD. if he done it, he would take no 1 spot 100%

honestly i think the only way it could have ended better is if they showed culucs spike other than that he already won the last event, and he didnt lose because it wasnt good enough, he only didnt reach the deadline which i think its the best reason for him to not win

Oh my god, this spike hits the depth of all our hearts. It is strong in shadowing astonishing and shocking, it meant so much to us all and is a gigantic step up from the average legendary level spike, its mind blowing perfection which seems in the depths took over 800 years of simple to complex constructing, in a poetic theory of love hate and in between, this spike portrays everything amazing i just discussed about, this spike can reach the depth of the wretched earthquakes and turn it into a majestic fabulous land of happiness and pureness, with pure love and livid decorations i think this one, really will make me emotional, ive not cried in over 10 years, but something as majestic and fabulous as this deserves it. Anyway imma give it a 4
