Who is garret?

Everyone is talking about shadowmourne once icc drops, but people forget just how long it takes to farm out all those endless shards, it's going to take a very long time to obtain. Nevertheless, I'm still not looking forward to dealing with that again 🤣

I got super lucky on my DK back then. I had no idea what it was but got a battered hilt from a random mob and checked the ah and saw how much it was going for lol. Needless to say I got one at the end of wotlk

A lot of ret pallys and DKs going to be disappointed when warriors get prio on it.

wasn't survival the best hunter spec in s5? or has that changed over time

BM Hunter over Frost Mage?????? Logic being that Frost Mage might be too difficult for the average player to main at a decent level, I guess? I'm really scratching my head here.

Surprised Rogue/Shadow wasn't mentioned.. but rogue/rogue and Rogue/mage was? It has been considered one of the best 2s comps for the entirety of WOTLK.

With the amount of paladins and dks, sp rogue is a LOT better than mage rogue and rogue rogue

Yeah I remember it being a R1 comp in 2's for a while in WOTLK on the Cyclone battlegroup it's definitely a good comp!

I played assassination, used to farm DK/HPAL, WAR/HPAL

No love for the Disc/Unholy combo? It's great for mixing burst with survivability.

At the end of wotlk, on super servers like arena tournament, disc priests were running full mana regen and playing a lot with warriors and death knights. Even elemental shamans. At the end of season 8, it was really hard to get oom as disc priest if you were good and had the right gear, so you could run comps like the one you mentioned and still have good consistent dmg

wow, so weird, that frost presence was the tank presence to mitigate melee dmg, if devs would have continue this design frost dk would be the dedicated tank spec. This is another wrath, only thing. :D

In wrath blood DK with frost presence is tanking spec, my set up is mostly blood with some points in unholy for halving the death and decay cd and few points in frost talents for reach on icy veins

Feral is not that great in 3v3 as it's where ferals gets easily tunneled by cleaves.

@@jalefar8247 If I remember right jungle cleave was the team to achieve highest mmr in wotlk, every wotlk season there was a jungle in top 3, also if melee cleave focus the feral in jungle, the game is already lost

Zero mention of feral or feral based comps, seems odd given how strong feral is in S5

I guess the video is for the average players. I remember frost mages like Xaryu who could literally get 2400 rating playing 1v2, and the video also doesn't talk about rest sham+affli warlock who were always top 10

Well if you get boosted and never played healer before you will suck. I would suggest as first time heals to either go resto druid or holy pally . Resto druid is more mobile and easier for newbie healers, as holy pally even simpler you literally cast from arsenal of very few spells and can take a hit. Playing priest and shammies does require some more experience and thought for effective play. Also there is whole list of addons that make your healing class much smoother.

I hate that they're doing 2's glad in classic WotLK. I was hoping 3's would stop being a dead bracket for nothing but r1's, but I have a feeling the added incentive to 2's now will take away from that. Hopefully there will actually be enough of an arena community this time around to get 3's going strong.

zero mention of ret/disc, ret/rogue, ret/hunter healer and so on...ret is very viable in arenas....this list is biased as hell

I seem to remember them being pretty viable in 3s with Resto Shaman and Affliction Warlock, or a healer and Elemental Shaman or Unholy Death Knight. I actually played a boomy with a Resto Shaman in 2s at around 1800 rating, in the ICC era. My teammate and I weren't amazing, but it was fun when you managed to blow things up.

shadowpriest is one of the best casters in wotlk by class design no matter where you go, to regret it in wotlk where they are at their peak is ridiculous, tbh xD affliction lock is very regretable in pvp, since wrath is basicly melee meta. Shadow can and will do a lot more against arms warrior than a lock, thats for sure, he can even disarm him and avoid his burst completely, while having basicly a perma SL with Shadowform, that can't be removed in anyway. 100% sure this will farm people in 2s arena as double DD with a rogue or mage.
