5:01 Important note that "Ignition!" can be found for free online in a PDF offered by a museum! I read it in that way, and it's honestly a really interesting book.
Thanks Tim ! As being German and not living far away from it, thanks also for recommending the technic museum in Speyer. It's really worth visiting it, you know it (at least since Spacecreatorday 2023 😉).
The Astro awards live will be so awesome, I never thought it would actually happen, it's been talked about for years! Attending one year is at the top of my bucket list! Thank you for all the effort you put into giving back to the space community
Tim, when you create a scale model of the Starship, please make it the same scale as the Falcon 9!!! I bought your Falcon 9 rocket as soon as I saw you advertise it. I know the Starship will cost more but maybe make it out of plastic instead to keep the cost down. Seeing the rockets at the same scale is very important to appreciate the differences in them. Thanks!

Agreed 100% I bought the EA Falcon 9 and the SpaceX Starship Superheavy, but they're all different scales
I just visited The Intrepid; Air, Sea, and Space Museum in NYC . Was not expecting as much space as I got. They’ve got the Space Shuttle Enterprise! Literally, had no idea. But the ship itself was involved in both Mercury and Gemini missions. Was very cool. Highly recommend.
I had to pause this video .... I LOVE THE ASTRO AWARDS IDEA! I completely see this becoming something on par with all the big awards shows and am hyped that you are finally doing it live at a venue. Just .. so .. happy ..
My favorite space theme gift I own is a Fred Haise signed photo poster of the LM after separation seeing the damage
For those in California and the surrounding West Coast of the United States, Shuttle Endeavor will be undergoing renovations for the next few years as it is moved to a full shuttle stack. It will be available until Dec 31.

I got your full flow staged combustion cycle hoodie as a gift a couple years back and it's without a doubt the most comfortable hoodie I've ever owned! For sure going to be putting some items from your shop on my holiday wish list this year!
Time to send this to all my family, coworkers, and everyone under the sun. Thanks Tim!
Astro awards live? That's the best gift from EDA to us. Can't wait.
If you're in the UK and want a good space museum, try the National Space Centre. Tons of interactive exhibits and varied stuff!
I highly recommend the NASA Archives book, it's such a good book with lots of historic photos with great print quality and all kinds of anecdotes from Vanguard to Perseverance.
Astro Awards is going to be AWESOME!!! I missed Email Romano's Lego model rockets .. I'm still waiting for a Space Shuttle VS Energia/Buran video please🙏🙏🙏 All of your videos are amazing!!!
Chris Hadfield released a new book recently which I am buying for my dad. It is called 'The Defector' so if anyone is still looking this might be useful :)
Hello!! I got the model block 5 and the coffee mug heat shield tile. I love them both. Very detailed
Really glad you mentioned the cosmosphere! I'm a Kansan that couldn't really get to the coast, and that place was heaven for me as a kid.
also, if you go to the KSC, get tickets for a rocket launch, trust me, you will not regret it! I had to get up at 2:30 am to watch Spacex Crew-2, it was genuinely the last time time I've felt pure joy and excitement in my life (going through some pretty severe depression right now)
I love these guides, thanks Tim!
As someone who has visited most of those museums from that list already (and is going to be visiting 1-2 more soon), I can confirm that it's a great gift for anyone interested in space exploration.
Speyer rocks! Best wishes from Germany!
Thanks Tim for the museum tips. I’m changing my upcoming trip to Starbase route to include Infinity Space Center.
The Lego Rover Set looks awesome!
Very good point about starbase. I visited 2 years ago and I’ve been looking to go back to see all the progress in person before we don’t have that luxury anymore.
Im personally waiting for the, STARBASE LEGO Set, With Launch Mount , Godzilla Tower! and a few Starships/Boosters!!
I have the entire series of the Home Shopping Network on Blu-Ray! 📀
Lego MOCs are cool too, I got my sister an SLS set that's the same scale as the lego Saturn V
HI TIM! Wishing for extra Every day astronaut merch this year.
So close to the Astro awards ❤
Yeh a vacation would be so good. Love the merch and more importantly love your content and what you do.
Shout out to the cosmosphere in Hutchinson KS! It's an amazing hidden treasure for early space relics. You also walk into the entrance with an SR-71 staring right at your face which is amazing
The Stafford Air & Space Museum in Weatherford Oklahoma is also very nice. Not as much stuff, but is does have stuff from the Apollo-Soyuz mission because of Stafford.
Add the Alamogordo Space Museum in New Mexico. Went there as a kid and never forgot it.
That's for doing this. I'll definitely refer back to it for years to come.
Absolute legend Tim thank you!
Thanks Tim and team. You a legend
I have #2 of the falcon 9 model. can confirm excellent quality =)
Happy holidays Tim
so glad this is back
All you need now Timmy, is a blow up moon, and you can play the game of "Tims going to the Meuoon" with your toys. That's the only way you're getting to the moon with starshite, lol
I’ll be going to Florida the following week so sadly won’t get to make it to the show but definitely would be watching!
Yes. There are cool things👍
Good idea for a video, thanks a lot man
Really loving my heat shield mug. It’s part of my launch livestream ritual now. ☕️🚀
Need the Falcon heavy model
Hi! I got your space shuttle ejection hoodie for Christmas and it is the coolest hoodie I have ever seen! I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if you made other hoodies that mimic other spacesuits too? Like: SpaceX Crew Dragon Flight Suits, Boeing CST-100 Starliner Flight Suits, Artemis Flights Suits, and the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit Suits.
I have the Lego Perseverance Rover, definitely worth while and bigger than you’d think
Great ideas!
I loved the book recommendations you should do more. I discovered Andy weir because of your recommendation on lex Friedman. Great stuff Tim happy holidays
I got the Soviet rocket poster, RD-171 shirt for me 😂
A telescope would be a good hobby-inspiring gift for some people. And if the one who got it is already into photography, it would be even better paired with an equatorial mount !
And FYI Kerbal space program is available on the Play station store now for those who have PlayStations
Wow
Home Shopping network hoodies are awesome tested in Canada! 🥰🙏🏻🍁🤣🆒 Thanks Tim!!
I wish you had a smaller version of the falcon 9 rocket. Maybe half size or a little less than the current one. I just don’t have a open too space to display it where my cats wouldn’t constantly knock it over. It would fit perfectly with my 6” Star Wars black figures
cant wait for the next one.
I've always wanted to come to America to do a space tour, one day
I think the best (early) gift I got was being able to watch IFT-2 in person from the Jetties.
Hi tim how you feeling today Happy Thanksgiving
great video!
The astra awards are on my birthday fancy that
OH MY GOD TIM I REMEMBER YOU BEFORE 100K SUBS! I WAS OBSESSED WITH SPACE.. IM COMING BACK
I love your channel I love your products but they virtually double in price for Ireland 😩 Anyway , thank you for excellent coverage of all topics in space Stuart in Ireland ☘️
IS that the rocket Bezos is going to send to Mars next to the Falcon 9 on your desk? 😂😂😂
You left out The Apollo Murders by Chris Hadfield. Sooo good.
Just bought your metal Falcon 9 rocket model. Tim. Can you buy others like Falcon Heavy & Starship in the same scale?
I can’t believe a Mova Globe isn’t in this video.
@ 3:20 no disrespect to the Paramount theatre, but it looks like their signage is flamey end up, pointy end down.... Despite my concern I know your going to have a amazing event.
Love the vid!😊
I’ve already got all the Everyday Astronaut stuff I’d want, can anyone recommend other cool space-themed gifts/shops/semi-affordable memorabilia to add to my Christmas lists?
Hey @everydayastronaut Tim is there a video comming of your visit to Speyer?
To make a rocket land or stop descending after initially using 27% power to neutralize gravity, you would need to calculate the additional power required based on factors like mass, velocity, and aerodynamics. Maybe next video idea?

Went into all of that in this video! - kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKV-l8SEpaTWktY.htmlsi=RhwyXJScFpvFTeap
good stuff
Got Neal Degrassie Tyson new book to infinity and beyond a good text style book got a signed edition of it also
Note on museums: the Shuttle at the California Science center will no longer be on display as of Jan 1 2024 while they do reconstruction to have the shuttle mounted to the booster rockets for a future display exhibit!
Can you please make a video about the New Chinese spasestation?
Haha, "gift" he says. My friends and family can *suck it.* I'm getting all this stuff for myself, dude.
Please keep doing these videos
I've dreamt travelling to America for a while now.the Astro Awards would be such a great Opportunity to visit the Country and finally witness a Launch in Person. It's a shame that I ain't got the finances to even fly over the Ocean. I would love to come. Finally meeting People who share my Interest who I could talk to about Spaceflight for Hours and Hours. Sadly I ain't got any of this Opportunitys. But hey, I'm looking forward to the Stream. Not my childhood dream of a live Rocket Launch but hey Still awesome af. But If I win Lotto which I'm not playing I'll be there :D
A telescope is always a good gift idea
The best gift is to meet someone in person who has good knowledge about space (Like you!) Edit :- the hypergolic long sleeve looks so good (Espically on you)
Merry christmas
Nice vid!
And you mentioned something for us Europeans as well! Love it! 😀
Trying to bring better quality merch to my businesses store, curious who you use for your merch? Thanks!
Sup brotha. Love your channel. Hey. How come big things don't seem to happen in Texas?
Hello, where do you buy all those rocket models?
Ignition was a great book, but be ready for some serious quantity of chemistry.
Hi, just I was wondering what is your pc’s configuration please ? Just to know if I can play ksp 2 on mine. Thanks.
Actually I'm not capable enough right now; but definitely gonna come to US for this in Future; Respect from India, Tim 🙇
Man having all your towels in your house monogrammed, respect
I musk go, so. ❤
Cool :)
Thank you tim i really needed this there a female that i want to buy a gift for and she is sooo in love whit astrology and rockets soo i appreciate this thank you
I well remember my teenage self encountering a poor pdf rendering of Ignition circa 2000 and devouring it.
Hi tim
Talk about mach diamond 💎 rules
I have a 'why dont they just' question XD. Why do they not just put all the components that are currently on the outside of the rocket inside the main methane tank? If these components are on the outside, they require extra shielding, which is heavy and creates hollow areas that need a fire suppression system. When the next version of the engine has integrated heat shield and (blast protection, I assume), then all the blast protection and skirt of the booster gets removed, saving at least 10 tons. Then they could probably remove the thrust puck and make a thrust dome, maybe flatten it a bit, and having some engines lower than others is maybe not so bad when they are heat shielded. All the parts of the rocket put inside the main tank now live in a stable temperature environment, and most of those parts probably don't really mind the cold. Like the computer probably prefers it, and the wiring too. There shouldn't be any hydraulics on the rocket anyway. Maybe the only thing that would be bad is the batteries. But they could be integrated into the engines, as that is where the electricity is generated anyway and is connected to all the other parts of the rocket as a result. I can't think of any reason other than inconvenient access as a downside, but I can imagine if they can design a rocket engine, they can figure out how to design a glorified manhole cover. So, in short, no need for extra shielding, no fire suppression system needed. Negatives include a complicated manhole cover. So why dont they just. XD
I misread this as best space Grifts and thought finally EDA had seen musk for the man he is.
